Sarah and Beth looked at each other, bewildered by what had just happened. Finally, Sarah said what she saw, her parents. She then proceeded to file another vile with potion and drink it. Spinning once again, Sarah found herself not in the dungeon where her parents were, but in a room of a hospital. She recognized Caleb Darke and Forest Mist standing next to the hospital bed of a sickly young girl. The girl almost looked cursed.
Sarah gasped as she returned to her body. "I didn't see my parents this time, I saw Forest Mist and Caleb. The potion must have intercepted their dilemna," she said. The two were discussing what to do, when a Slytherin girl rushed into the bathroom.
"What are you two doing here so late at night," the girl said angrily, expecting to be alone. Noticing the cauldron and potion inside, the girl's frown changed to a smile. "Nevermind, but you need to GO now," she said. Beth and Sarah quickly got out of the bathroom and back to the dormitory, not quite sure what to make of the situation.

Are you sure you're alright? You look awful. Caleb scribbled to her in a note in their Transfiguration class. Forest Mist had in fact, felt rather weak and dizzy all day but she knew Caleb wouldn't stop fretting over her if she admitted it.
I'm fine. Stop worrying and pay attention to the lesson. Forest Mist wrote back, her usually neat handwriting a little shaky today. Caleb frowned but looked up at Professor McGonagall all the same.
When the bell rang, Forest Mist tried to get out of her seat but a searing pain in her head made her cry out and fall to the floor. Caleb was instantly beside her.
"Professor! Forest Mist's collapsed!" he shouted as Minerva bustled through the crowd of students milling about, shooing them out of the classroom.
"Come, Miss Tigerchild. Off to Madam Pomfrey with you." she said, helping Caleb support her down the corridors to the Hospital Wing.

Sarah awoke the next morning and decided to go find Forest Mist. However, when she asked fellow Ravenclaw housemembers, no one knew where she was. Eager to find her and discuss what she saw, Sarah hurriedly walked out of the common room, almost running into a just as hurried Caleb.
"Where's Forest Mist," Sarah asked.
"Hospital wing," Caleb said, before quickly leaving. Sarah watched Caleb hurry off. Confused, Sarah shook her head and walked to the Hospital Wing, to find Forest Mist, and some answers.

"I TOLD you that you didn't look well, but would you listen to me? Noooooo..." Caleb muttered moodily to Forest Mist while she was lying in the Hospital Wing. Forest Mist groaned and put a hand to her forehead.
"Caleb, please... my head still hurts..." she sighed. Caleb's expression softened a bit and he kissed her cheek lightly.
"Sorry, but I wish you'd listen to me for once," he replied.
"Alright, that's enough! Miss Tigerchild needs to be recovering, not canoodling with her school sweetheart! Shoo, Mr. Darke!" Madam Pomfrey snapped, ushering the boy out of the room and back to his classes. Both teenagers smiled in amusement at the matron's old-fashioned language.
"Yes, Madam Pomfrey," Caleb told her with his famous lopsided grin.
"Bye..." Forest Mist whispered to him as he left.
"This is very strange," Madam Pomfrey muttered as she examined Forest MIst. "I can't find what's causing this."
"Caleb's niece is sick too and the healers don't know why, either," Forest Mist mumbled sleepily. The Sleeping Draught Madam POmfrey had forced down her throat a few minutes earlier was taking effect.
"Hmmm... very strange, indeed," the matron muttered.

Catherine sighed as she trudged drearily to the common room. The seventh floor was an awful long way up, and Catherine needed to get her map. When she finally reached the last step, Catherine resisted the urge to collapse in front of the fat lady.
"Password?" the fat lady inquired in high, almost singing voice.
"Pigsfeet," Catherine exhaled. The painting opened, creaking a little as it swung.
"Someone STILL needs to oil my hinges," the fat lady muttered. Catherine was too tired to laugh, and immediately collapsed on the nearest sofa.
"Hey Cat." Catherine was startled by the sudden disturbance. She could have sworn the common room was empty. She turned her head, and looked over to see Jonathan standing over her, grinning from ear to ear.
"What...." she moaned. Quidditch practice had been brutal, every bone in her body ached, and yet he wanted to have fun?
"Oh, fine, if you don't wanna know about the new secret passage I found...." Johnathan started, knowing that Catherine's weakness was finding anything new about Hogwarts that she could, especially secret passages.
"What," Catherine exclaimed. Her aches and pains had went away when she heard the word secret, and now she was itching with anticipation.
"Ha! Gotcha, actually, I just wanted the astronomy homework," he said.
Catherine moaned, and threw a rolled up parchment at him.
"There, thanks for waking me for that," Catherine said. Since she was already awake, she figured that she would go visit the Hospital Wing, where one of her other friends, Matthew, was in there for getting too close to the Womping Willow and breaking his arm. Catherine had a particular softspot for Matt; she had always found his need for danger both enthralling and funny.
As Catherine skipped to the Hospital Wing, she couldn't help noticing that the halls were rather empty. Looking at her watch, Catherine couldn't believe that everyone was in their common rooms so early, unless....
"Boo," Sirius jumped out from behind a nearby pillar. Catherine rolled her eyes maliciously, and shoved Sirius into the nearby wall.
"How did you get everyone out of the hall?" Catherine asked, curious to know how yet another one of her mischeiveous friends was so cunning this time.
"Stink Pellet and a few other things was George Weasley's Wizard Weezes," Sirius explained. Catherine smiled.
"I'm gonna go visit Matt in the Hospital Wing, wanna come?" Catherine asked. Sirius shrugged, and the two walked quickly down to the hospital wing.

The next day, Forest Mist still wasn't feeling much better. Caleb gnawed on his thumbnail as he sat beside her, one of his habits that he succumbed to whenever he was anxious or worried.
"Stop doing that. I'm not dying," Forest Mist told him a little more sharply than necessary. He had been coddling her for the last half-hour and it was starting to get on her nerves. Caleb stopped and frowned.
"You're not usually snappish," he commented. Forest Mist sighed and put down her quill and parchment. She couldn't focus on transfiguration right now, anyway.
"I'm just irritated. I hate not being able to go to class and you treating me like I'm in St. Mungo's dying ward doesn't help," she told him. "And I miss Artemis and Luna..." she sighed. Caleb gave her a sympathetic look.
"Sorry. I know you're probably not having much fun. I'm just worried. First my niece, now you... and that Circe character has been looking unusually cheerful lately. Something about all of this just seems plain wrong," he muttered darkly.
"Caleb, you're paranoid. Are you trying to say that Circe Black cursed your niece and me?" That was ludicrous. Circe didn't even know his niece.
"Maybe I am. What of it?" he protested defiantly.
"You're paranoid," Forest Mist repeated. "I'm going to sleep," she sighed, rolling over in her bed and closing her eyes. Caleb stayed and watched over her for a few minutes until Madam Pomfrey kicked him out.
Caleb grumbled moodily to himself. His girlfriend may think he's paranoid, but he couldn't shake the feeling that something was very wrong here. That Tara girl seemed not to like Circe either. Maybe she would listen to him.
He marched to the Hufflepuff common room and stood outside. A boy stepped out and eyed him suspiciously. "You're not in Hufflepuff," he accused. Caleb shook his head.
"No, I'm not," he agreed. "I need to talk to one of the Hufflepuffs. Can you get Tara out here?" he asked. The boy shrugged and went back inside, bringing Tara out with him when he returned.

Tara had been inside the Hufflepuff common room telling one of her elaborate stories of her summer trips to far off countries with her father when one of her fellow Hufflepuffs walked in and poked her shoulder.
"We thought we would find the yeti soon when- what?" she turned to the boy.
"There is some Ravenclaw guy outside wanting to talk to you," the boy told her.
"Oh," Tara thought for a second and then remembered Caleb, one of the few Ravenclaws she associated with, "Okay. Guess I'll have to finish my story another time."
The first years she was talking to whined. She waved a hand at them and walked outside. Sure enough, it was Caleb outside and looking concerned.
"What's up?" she asked.

Caleb nodded to her when she walked out. "Hey. My girlfriend thinks I'm off my rocker and won't listen to a word I say, but something's not right and I thought you'd listen."
Tara looked at him expectantly, but Caleb shook his head. "Not here. Come on," he muttered, grabbing her arm and leading her to the abandoned girl's washroom.
"Ugh, more boys..." Moaning Myrtle sniffed when he walked in. Caleb felt sorry for the lonely ghost and tried to be nice to her most of the time.
"Sorry, Myrtle, but this is important," he apologized. He went into one of the stalls and closed the door with Tara behind him. He sat on the edge of the toilet seat while Tara leaned against the door. "Okay, look; a few weeks ago, my niece came down really ill. My brother took her to St. Mungo's, but they had no idea what was wrong with her or why she'd fallen ill. She's still sick and they still don't know what's going on."
Tara had a sympathetic expression on her face, but had a raised eyebrow. She looked impatient. Caleb decided to get to the point. "You heard about Forest Mist collapsing in Transfiguration yesterday?" She nodded. The entire school had heard about that. "Well, she's still not well, either and Madam Pomfrey can't figure out what's wrong with her. I dunno, it just seems really weird."
"That's it? Look, I'm sorry about your niece and Forest Mist, but I have to get back to my story --" Tara began, but Caleb cut her off.
"It's not just that! Remember when we told off Circe Black for picking on that Ricardo bloke? She was really angry, and the next day was when Forest Mist collapsed. She's been walking around the school like Christmas came early since then, and she seemed pretty perky when my niece got sick, too. I don't know if she's got something to do with this, but all of this is just too weird to be a coincedence, don't you think?" he asked.
----------
Circe stood at the doorway of the girl's bathroom, scowling. She had come in to store Forest Mist's voodoo doll, but had heard voices and stopped to listen. Caleb Darke was onto her.
I need to shut the mudblood-lover up... she thought to herself.
((I hope it's okay that I used Tara, Marilyn.))

Tara took in what Caleb said and thought for a long moment.
"It is possible, that is if she knows advanced magic," Tara said, "Cause I can't think of a spell that could do that. But yeah, she does seem like the petty type to try and hurt those who help others. Slimey wench"
Caleb looked relieved that someone believed him.
"Look, I have to get back, but I will try to look into advanced stuff, figure out what she is doing, and if we can prove it is her," Tara told him, "Cause all we have is suspicions right now. We need hard facts."

Caleb nodded. "Yeah... I need to get back to Forest Mist. Find me if you figure anything out," he told Tara, unlocking the stall door and walking out.
On the way, he bumped into Circe who was standing in the entranceway to the bathroom. "What do you want?" he growled. Circe scowled.
"I believe this is a girl's bathroom. What business would you have here?" she hissed. Just then, Tara stepped out from the stall he had just exited with a scowl on her face. Circe raised an eyebrow. "Oh... I see. It's understandable, I suppose. I suppose snogging a bookworm of a mudblood-lover like that Tigerchild brat can get old after a while, eh Caleb?" she sneered cruelly. Caleb balled his hands into fists, but didn't throw a punch.
"Go rot in a ditch, you hideous cow," he snapped. "No one will miss you." With that, he stalked out of the bathroom and back towards the Hospital Wing.
----------
"What's wrong? You look angry," Forest Mist commented when Caleb returned and sat down by her bed.
"It's nothing," he mumbled, kissing her forehead. "Weren't you sleeping?" he asked.
"I was, but I got another pain in my head and it woke me up," she admitted. Caleb sighed. This had to stop, and soon.

As Caleb left, it left Tara glaring at Circe. The girl was much taller than Tara's 5 feet 3 inches, but she didn't care.
"It must be very tiring, being you," Tara stated.
Circe looked almost confused by Tara's statement, "What do you mean, you nasty half-blood?"
"Well, presonally I would get tired of hating everything that breathed as you do, don't you have anything better to do with your life? Like actually getting one?" Tara smirked.
Circe started to reach for her wand, "I'd watch what you say Hufflepuff scum."
"Oh go and slither back under the rock you came from," Tara snapped as she walked away.
Circe stared at the red-headed girl as she walked away, thinking of a curse to use on her. Raising her wand, she stopped. A teacher turned the corner into the corridor, giving Tara the chance to get away unharmed.

Caleb was sitting in the common room, poring over his potions homework listlessly. He couldn't stop thinking about Circe Black and how she might be involved with Livia and Forest Mist's illnesses.
"You know, your measurements for the amount of crushed unicorn horn are off by four and a half millilitres," a soft voice said softly behind him. Caleb's chocolate brown eyes widened and he turned around to see Forest Mist smiling behind him. Laughing, her hugged her fiercely.
"Madam Pomfrey let you out? Why didn't you tell me before?" he asked, still grinning from ear to ear. Forest Mist tucked a brunette curl behind her ear and smiled.
"I thought I'd surprise you," she admitted, but fell silent and tried to hide behind her boyfriend when a group of chattering first-year Ravenclaws entered the common room. Caleb sighed and shook his head, but was secretly glad that Forest Mist was back and her usual self.

OOC: yay, it appeared! I'm glad too, because that was a very long post for me IC: As Catherine and Sirius walked to the hospital wing, Catherine couldn't help but notice that Sirius became more and more sullen the closer they came to the hospital wing. When they finally got there, Sirius' face was very angry. "Hey Matt. We missed you at Quidditch yesterday," Catherine said. Matt smiled, "Well I would have been out, if someone hadn't been so paranoid that I wasn't healed," then shot a glare at Madame Pomfrey. "Hey, have you seen any Ravenclaws lately. The buzz is that one of them got cursed and just go released," Catherine said. Matt shook his head, "Although I did overhear Circe Black talking to her monkey, something about a half-blood..."Catherine sighed, glad that none of her friends were in danger. She was the only half-blood in the group, and was glad that her friends wouldn't suffer the wrath of Circe Black. Still, Catherine decided to make it a point to spy on Circe with her map, just to make sure that she wasn't targeting anyone she knew..... "Excuse me? Visiting hours are over, and frankly Catherine, if you're going to daydream, you could do that in your common room," Madame Pomfrey startled Catherine by breathing down her neck. Catherine nodded, and her and Sirius rushed out.
