Sarah wrapped her arms around Austin, excited that he was out of the hospital. Just then, she saw Mary Beth run in, giggling loudly and bright red. "Just a sec, Austin," Sarah said, releasing the hug and rushing over to Mary. "Bethy, what happened?" Mary just continued to giggled, and once she stopped, said, "I spied on Sam, and he caught me." Mary then burst into a second fit of giggles, and Sarah walked away, just shaking her head.
Walking over to Austin, Sarah quietly whispered, "I have something to tell you." Austin nodded, and gestured that he too had something to share. Sarah decided to let Austin go first, and told him to begin. What would he have to tell Sarah?

Austin had a huge knot in his stomach, but he gathered up all his courage and whispered "I love you." He turned bright red, and then kissed Sarah on the cheek, and tightened his hug. "Now what did you need to tell me?" Austin asked quietly, loosening his hug only the slightest bit.

((Lol, an 11 year old in love? Funny.))
The next morning, Caleb's owl fluttered right into his bowl of porridge. Caleb sighed and rolled his eyes. "There goes my breakfast." he mumbled in a temper. Untying the parchment from Gaius Caligula's leg, he scanned over the letter and his face paled.
"What is it?" Forest Mist asked in alarm. Caleb numbly handed her the letter.
"It's Livia." he replied in a strangled whisper. Forest Mist knew he was talking about his six year old niece and read the letter for herself.
Dear Caleb,
I have terrible news. Livia's fallen ill. She's at St. Mungo's but the healers can't figure out what's wrong with her. Emily's frantic with worry and so am I. Mum and dad are here as well. I've spoken with the Headmistress and she's given you leave to come and see her. I wish I could write more, but Emily says she wants her father so I should go and see her.
Please come soon, Dorak
"Was that from your brother?" Forest Mist asked as Caleb nodded.
"Yeah. I'm going to go to McGonagall's office." he said, standing up determinedly and turning to stride off, but something stopped him and he turned around. "Forest Mist?" he asked quietly.
"Yes?" she replied, puzzled.
"Can you come, too?" he asked, a little sheepishly. Forest Mist was confused and she gave him a strange look.
"Me? Why would you want me to go?" she asked him. Caleb shuffled his feet and shrugged.
"Well, I want you there, in case..." his voice trailed off. Forest Mist knew what the end of the sentence was; in case she doesn't make it and I need you with me. She gave a sympathetic smile and nodded.
"Sure. If Professor McGonagall can get my parents' permission I'll come." she said, knowing that she wouldn't be able to leave the grounds without written permission from her parents. Caleb smiled with relief.
"Thanks." he said simply as they both walked towards the Headmistress' office.

Sarah was taken aback at these words. Wasn't love a little too strong a word? "Uh, um, it's not important, never mind, I have to go," she said, rushing out of the common room, almost bumping into a very sad looking Forest Mist.
Sarah didn't stop running until she reached the library, in which she frantically began to search for books. Something must be done about this, she thought. She was searching for a book on love spells and their counters, and found one quickly. She hurriedly opened the book, and began reading. "Murdock root, flobberworms..." Sarah muttered. The ingredients to a repellent potion. Even though Sarah was awful at potions, she begged on her parents' strength as she went to the Potions storeroom in the dungeon.
After finding all the ingredients, Sarah went to the third floor girl's bathroom, a place known for only one inhabitant: Moaning Myrtle. When she arrived in the bathroom, however, Myrtle was nowhere to be found. As Sarah began fixing the ingredients quickly, she yawned. Tired by her quest, Sarah fell asleep.

Sarah hated him. Austin was sure of it. The way she had ran away, he knew he had told her too soon. Austin went into his room after she ran away, and wept. He didn't care who saw him, he just needed to cry. Cinnamon woke up, and starting hooting at a furious pace, but Austin didn't stop to quiet her. He heard laughing, but he didn't care. soon he fell asleep after his crying fit.

Tara found herself down at Hagrid's one afternoon, feeding the nifflers. They were scurrying around, frantically sniffing for treasure they would never find. Tara just sat there, watching them when Craig walked up behind her.
"Hey lass, " he said in his scottish accent.
"Hey Craig, how's it going?"
"Not bad, saw ye over 'ere alone and though' I keep ya company," he said.
"Thanks," Tara replied, and the turned and walked away from the pen. She started walking towards the lake.
"Where are ye goin'?" Craig asked.
"Away."
"Wha' did I do?" Craig asked.
Tara turned around, " Nothing, absolutely nothing, I just don't want more stories going around behind my back because I accidently fell asleep in the common room with you."
"Tha's why ye're mad? 'Cause people be spreading false tales?"
"Yes, I don't like it."
"Well why don' we make'em true?"
Tara just stared at Craig, " What?"
" Th' trip te Hogsmeade is t'morrow. Go with me," Craig offered.

Headmistress McGonagall wasted no time in paying a visit to Forest Mist's home via the Floo Network to get written permission from her parents which they sighed straightaway.
Now that Forest Mist and Caleb were sitting in St. Mungo's waiting for his brother to meet them, Forest Mist felt extremely uneasy. She had never liked hospitals. When she was little, she had accidentally made herself sprout dreadfully painful boils with her mother's wand. She had spent two weeks in St. Mungo's taking daily potions to remove them.
"Caleb! I heard you'd brought someone with you. Who is this?" Dorak exclaimed coming into the lobby. He looked very frightened and strained, but it was plain to see that he shared Caleb's handsome Aboriginal traits. His longish black hair fell into his cinnamon brown face and obscured his deep chocolate eyes, just as Caleb's did.
"This is Forest Mist." he replied, hugging his brother as Forest Mist and Dorak merely shook hands.
"Ah yes, we've all heard a great deal about you." he replied in a voice that would have been teasing had he not looked so distraught. Forest Mist gave a weak smile and nodded, but didn't speak a word.
"How's Livia?" Caleb asked anxiously. Dorak gave a sad sigh and shook his head.
"No worse, but no better either, I'm afraid." he replied dejectedly. "I don't know what I'll do if I lose my little girl." he choked out, clearing his throat to avoid tears. "Come, I'll show you two her room. She's been wanting to see you, Caleb."

Sarah awoke the next morning, her head resting on a book. When she remembered the events that had happened the previous night, a pang of sadness hit Sarah. The last people to say I love you to her were her parents. Right before they were kidnapped, that was what they told her. Sarah sobbed bitterly, distraught of the thought of her parents.
When Sarah had stopped crying, she realized it was almost time for Herbology. Grabbing her books from the dormitory, she rushed to the greenhouse, arriving with just a minute to spare. She saw Austin from across the room. What lie would she tell him this time?

Austin saw Sarah from across the Herbology room. He couldn't bear to look at her face since he still felt guilty about making her hate him, (Or so he thought) and sat down quickly. Despite his inner wishes, she sat down next to him. "Uh, hi..." Sarah sheepishly stated. "Hi..." Austin replied, avoiding her face as if it would turn him to stone. "Listen, about yesterday... I just feel love is too strong of a word." she explained. "Plus I'm scared of commitments." she quickly added. "...Really?" Austin questioned. "Yes, really." Sarah partially lied. "Well, I'm sorry. I had no idea..." Austin apologized. "I still like you, though, there's nothing I can do to help that..." he admitted.
OOC: I had permission to use Sarah, and if she needs to, christina2010 can use Austin.

Forest Mist made to step back and allow Caleb to be alone with his family but he grabbed her hand and pulled her forward slightly. "Come on." he told her. She nodded and followed him down the long hallway to a room near the end of the corridor. As they stepped inside, Forest Mist saw a tiny girl laying in bed, with the same black hair as her father but milky pale skin and bright blue eyes which were the spitting image of the young, weeping woman sitting beside her, whom Forest Mist took to be Livia's mother. She looked up and gave a watery smile at Caleb.
"Caleb, you're here." she said in a throaty voice raw from tears. Caleb nodded and hugged her.
"Yeah, I just arrived a few minutes ago Emily. I brought Forest Mist with me." he told her. Emily nodded and shook Forest Mist's hand.
"Caleb sings your praises to us in his letters." she said kindly, but the small wrinkles of worry around her mouth did not cease. Forest Mist blushed and mumbled something about that being nice of Caleb and how sorry she was about Livia. Emily chuckled weakly. "He told me you were shy." she said, as if affirming her own picture of her.
Caleb walked over to Livia's bedside and sat down. She blearily opened her eyes and beamed when she saw him. "Uncle Caleb!" she exclaimed, although it came out as nothing more than a whisp of a sigh. Caleb nodded and hugged her.
"Yeah it's me. How are you?" he asked. Livia scowled as her eyes filled with tears.
"I want to go home." she pouted. "I miss Penny and Frances." she said, referring to her sisters. Caleb sighed and held her hand.
"I know you do, but you have to stay here until you get better." he reasoned with her. Livia's face crumpled in despair.
"Mommy and daddy keep telling me that. It's not fair!" she whined, sniffling. Suddenly catching sight of Forest Mist beside her mother, Livia's eyes brightened for a moment. "Who are you?" she asked in curiosity.
"Livia! Manners, please." Emily scolded her daughter. Caleb laughed and beckoned Forest Mist over to him.
"This is Forest Mist." he told her. Livia gave a knowing smile.
"Is she your girlfriend?" she asked rather bluntly as Emily clapped a hand to her forehead and shook her head at her daughter's atrocious display of manners. Caleb laughed a little nervously and nodded.
"Er, yeah." he admitted which made Livia burst into fits of giggles.

Tara didn't know what to say to Craig, but instead she just grabbed his hand in hers and nodded and smiled. She wasn't sure what she was doing, but she was just going with it. I mean it could be fun to be going out with Craig... even if he was 3 years older.
"Good," Craig said and smiled back, " and don' worry. The tales 'ill stop or i'll 'ave somethin' to say abou' it."
Tara smiled and replied, " Fists work wonders when trying to get message across."
Craig laughed, then he lightly tugged on her hand and lend her to the castle. It was getting close to dinner anyways.
As they walked towards the castle, Tara saw Sam, and gave a small wave with her free hand. Sam just quickly turned away. He didn't want her to see the hurt on his face.
So the rumours were true, he thought, They are together. Sammy boy you're too late.

"Shhhh! Ricky, shut up! Do you want us to get caught?" Circe snapped irritably in a frantic whisper. They were in the Restricted Section of the libray at 3:00am. They weren't even supposed to be out of their Common Rooms, let alone wandering a forbidden area.
"Of course not!" Ricardo protested, pouting slightly "I-I just t-think we shouldn't be d-doing this anymore. I-It's too dangerous." he stammered as he always did when he became nervous. Circe glared menacingly at him.
"Of course it's dangerous, you dope. That's why I need you to shut up so we can get in and out of here without problems. You're not going to cause problems for me, are you Ricky?" she asked coldly. Ricardo shuddered and shook his head.
"N-no, Circe. You're my f-friend..." his voice trailed off weakly. Circe gave a self-satisfed smirk showing her slightly pointed canine teeth.
"Good. Now stay in the entranceway in the shadows and keep watch. What do you do if you see someone coming?" she asked expectantly.
"I-I sneak back in and t-tell you right away." he muttered immediately. This was a fairly straight-forward procedure that had been going on between the two of them for about six years now.
"Good." Circe repeated. "Now go do your job!" she snapped. Leaving Ricardo by the entrance of the Restricted Section, Circe browsed the shelves, looking for one volume in particular. It contained a charm to keep someone ill for as long as possible, which she needed. She needed to practise sickness magic but it was too risky to use a student in the school... otherwise she would have conned Ricardo into being her subject. No, instead she had Ricardo take a drawing from one of Caleb Darke's nieces, a Ravenclaw boy in Ricardo's year who shared a dormitory with him. It was perfect. The little girl Livia was far away, Circe had no personal connection to the child and Circe's involvement could not be suspected.
Circe was unsure of whether she would eventually kill her or not. Right now, she needed to work on her ability to keep a spell going for as long as possible but once that was complete, she couldn't see the use of keeping her alive afterwards. She supposed she'd play it by ear.
"Got it!" she smiled sickly, pulling out a large dusty book called The Dark Arts Advanced Magic by Swanson McCoy. She packed it away inside the large pockets on the inside of her school robes and snuck back to Ricardo. "I've got the book. Go back to your dormitory. I'll tell you what's next tomorrow." she whispered.
Too frightened to protest, Ricardo just squeaked and nodded, dashing back to his nice safe bed beside Caleb Darke's bed. At least, his bed was safe as long as Caleb didn't find out about Ricardo's involvement in his niece's illness.

Tara went to bed the night after the day out at Hogsmeade feeling extremely stupid. Craig, though as nice of a guy he was, turned out to be a major dud, and she told him that too, halfway through the day. He had taken her to some mushy looking cafe, were other couples sat around saying sappy things to each other and kissing. What type of girl did he think she was? She had felt so out of place there, as everyone else wore 'normal' looking clothes and there was Tara in her purple and black punk attire.
"Never again," she whispered to Skitzo, her cat which laid beside her head, " I was so bored I could of died."
Skitzo nudged her head affectionately and started to purr, lulling Tara to sleep.
********
Tara woke the next morning bright and early as always. She did her normal morning routine, and ended up downstairs at the breakfast table. The only other person at the table was Sam. She sat down beside him.
Sam just looked at his plate and said, "So you and Craig-o have a good time on your date?"
Tara gave a loud 'Ha!' and Sam looked at her puzzled.
"What? He was soooooo boring, I don't know what I was thinking. I mean, he obviously didn't actually know anything about me, because he took me to puddifoots or whatever it's called," Tara told Sam as she pulled her red hair back into a quick ponytail, " I mean I ended up ditching him halfway, if not I was going to fall asleep in the tea he bought me. Oh and did I mention the tea tasted like pumpkin? I was so sickened!"
Tara went on ranting about her lame date with Craig, not realizing the more she bashed Craig, the happier Sam seemed to become. Hope had been restored to the fifth year boy.

Sarah nodded, struck by Austin's words. She quickly sat down in her seat, and paid strict attention to all of her classes. Then lunch came, and Sarah quickly walked with Mary, almost running into a cowardly looking Ravenclaw. She had important news, she had found a book that could help her find her parents!!
"So, after running from Austin yesterday, I checked out a potion book, and not only did I find an anti-love potion, I found a potion to find a loved one. I'm going to get the ingredients tonight, you wanna come?" Sarah explained her scenario to Mary, who immediately wanted to help. The two couldn't sit still for the rest of the day, excited to maybe find Sarah's parents.

Sam went around smiling for the next week, and Tara had no idea why her friend was in such a happy mood.
"You think you had taken a Felix Felicious potion the way your acting," Tara had told him.
Sam just shook his head, "It's just a good week."
Tara rolled her eyes, Sam was so odd sometimes. She waved good-bye to him as she headed towards the dugeons for potions class. Not watching where she was going she slammed right into a tall, haunted looking girl.
"Watch where your going!" snapped the older girl.
"Me?" Tara said as she wiped her red hair out of her face," You probably saw me coming from a mile away, you could of went around!"[/i]
The tall girl looked surprised.
"Do you know who you are talking to?" she hissed.
"Yeah, an annoying Slytherin who is making me late for class!" Tara glares at the girl and pushed by her.
Circe watched the Hufflepuff walk away. She would rue the day she talked back to her.
