"Library." Forest Mist immediately answered. It was her favourite place in the school and she could sit in her comfy spot.
Leading Tara to the spot near the back of the library, Forest Mist suddenly wanted to bolt but she had gone this far and couldn't back out now. It's like a bandage... just rip it off quickly and get it over with... Forest Mist thought to herself. Taking a deep breath, but still looking down at the floor, Forest Mist mumbled "Caleb kissed me..." There. She had said it. It was over.
Now it was Tara's turn to say something and Forest Mist dearly hoped that it was something that would help her.
----------
As Sarah thanked him for watching Austin and kissed him on the cheek, Caleb scratched his head in confusion.
"Uhhh... you're welcome I guess." he shrugged. "I'm glad everything worked out." he told them, beginning to walk away to find Forest Mist. That was certainly the weirdest thing that had happened to him so far this year... well, maybe not the weirdest but it was pretty high up on his list.
Figuring she would probably be at the library, hiding from him he headed over there. Don't bombard her. Caleb told himself firmly. Just show up and say you're sorry, and leave it at that. he said inwardly. Heading towards Forest Mist's "comfy spot", he spotted her, but with Tara Finley, the fourth year Hufflepuff. They seemed to be... talking? Okay, THIS was officially the weirdest thing to happen all school year. He decided to duck behind some stacks of books and listen in.

As wierd as that moment was, Sarah had to focus on Austin getting better now. She watched his breaths, slow and steady, and she watched his chest, fall in and out in time with his breathing. Once visiting hours were over, she went to find Mary Beth to tell her of the traumatizing experience. After telling the story, she waited for Mary Beth to respond. "Well, that is quite interesting. I suppose he heard that from peeves, after all, that was who he tried to stop, before finding you, I guess," Mary Beth said. Her mind was too focused on a Hufflepuff, a few tables away. He was quite handsome, and she liked him. "Mary", Sarah said, snapping her fingers. Gosh, sometimes her friend could be so unfocused.

Tara tilted her head to one side in confusion, her red hair slipping in front of her face, which she then pushed out of the way and tied it back in a ponytail, as she did she caught a quick glance of Caleb as he went to hide behind a bookshelf. Tara pondered for a minute on the situation, she didn't know much about Forest Mist, well actually knew practically nothing, but she thought she might as well pry a little.
"Isn't that a good thing? I mean you like him don't you?" Tara asked, " I mean I've seent he way you two act around each other, it gives signs that there is something there."
((Just which Hufflpuff boy are you talking about christina? I am very curious...))

Forest Mist's mouth dropped open slightly. She had never really thought about it before. She had been extremely irritated by him when they had first met, then she grew to accept hiim as her friend which had been a huge step for her, and... she had secretly known she had wanted something more with him but had been too afraid to admit it.
"Yes, I- I guess I do..." she muttered as if realizing it for the first time. "It's just... things will change." she sighed unhappily. Forest Mist was not a fan of change at all. She was terrified that she would lose the only friend she'd ever had if something went wrong between them somewhere down the road. Things were safer when they were just friends. As she whispered this haltingly to Tara, she noticed a tuft of black hair poking from behind a book case. With an amused grin, Forest Mist mouthed to Tara behind her hand so that Caleb wouldn't hear or see. "He's listening, isn't he?"

((You're good, Amikwa, I was thinking either just an innocent crush on Craig, or maybe a random hufflepuff. Or, maybe even Sam. I haven't gotten that far))
After their short conversation, Sarah decided to go to the library, to see if she could find a book on bonds between parent and child. When she got to the library, however, she noticed Forest Mist and a hufflepuff girl, probably a fourth year, talking in hushed tones. Then, she noticed Caleb hiding behind a bookshelf. Strange, very strange. Older teens were so wierd sometimes. Mary looked everywhere for a book, but all she could find was a book on parent traits, and the passing on of magical traits. She decided that it would be best to ask Forest Mist, she seemed to know a lot about books. However, she appeared to be very much into the conversation she was having. Oh well, perhaps as another time.
As Sarah walked up to the common room, she couldn't help but put the pieces together in the scenario she had experienced. Forest Mist was actually talking to someone, Caleb was hiding from Forest Mist, and it appeared she was doing the same. She bet that they liked each other. No matter, it was none of her business anyway.
When Sarah reached the common room, it seemed so empty. Austin was in the hospital wing, and Mary was doing God knows what. Sarah sat in a cozy chair, and continued to do her history of magic homework. But, it wasn't long before she fell asleep in the chair, it had been a tiring day anyway.

((Well let me know, because if it's Sam(5th year btw) or Craig (7th year) I need to work that into my character because it will her affect her either way))
Tara put her hand up to her mouth to try and hold in a giggle, and nodded, whispering,"You would be correct." Tara then pulled out her wand and whispered a spell. "There, now he shouldn't be able to hear us, it'll make him crazy," Tara told Forest Mist with a wicked grin, " Now about change, it always happpens, and you know what it could be good, ever thought of that?"
Caleb started to twitch. The two girls where speaking very quietly now and it unnerved him not knowing what they were saying about him.

Forest Mist sighed and fiddled with a strand of damp, curly brown hair nervously. Not having an answer to this, she shrugged. It seemed all her courage had been used up for the day. Sensing that the conversation was over, Caleb decided to make his appearance. Stepping awkwardly out into the open, he cleared his throat and nodded to Tara.
"Hey... no offense, but could you clear off for a mo'?" he asked her. Tara didn't seem to be too offended and left without much of a fuss. Caleb sat down in the seat she had just left unoccupied and began before Forest Mist could even say a single word. "Look, I'm really sorry about that but you knew I fancied you from the very beginning." he told her, trying to defend himself a little bit. "Apparently, you do too so obviously it's not a matter of that, it's a matter of being scared that someone might actually want to be with you." he accused, his apology speech going all wrong in his mind. Forest Mist glared.
"You shouldn't have eavesdropped." she told him coldly.
"You shouldn't be so afraid of me." Caleb retorted, his voice carrying a note of hurt. Forest Mist shook her head vigorously.
"How can you be so stupid sometimes!" Forest Mist demanded, losing her temper which didn't happen very often at all. "I'm not afraid of you!"
"Then what are you afraid of?" Caleb asked her incredulously, throwing his hands up in the air in exhasperation.
"Nevermind... you wouldn't understand it." Forest Mist muttered, shoving past him to get away for a minute. I don't even understand it myself. she thought in her head as she left Caleb behind in the library.

Sarah awoke, and she was sweating all over. "You ok, I came in and saw you shaking," Mary said. Her face was flushed, and she looked as though she had been blushing.
"It's nothing, just a bad dream," Sarah said. Although it had been about the night her parents were kidnapped, Sarah didn't care to tell the story. At least she wasn't seeing things she wasn't supposed to, like Harry Potter supposedly did.
Sarah decided the next morning that she would go visit Austin, and then look in the library for a book on dreams. She went to the hospital wing, and for once, was scared to go talk to someone. I mean, she had always been scared when it came to a conversation about her parents, but this was different. She was scared because she was afraid that she liked him.
When she walked in to the hospital wing, she found Austin to be enjoying some hospital food. Before he even saw her, she hurried out of the room. She couldn't do it. Unfortunately, she kept thinking of Forest Mist. She was a nice person, but she didn't want to be as shy as her. After all, Sarah had escaped from kidnapping, escaped from and orphanage, and made friends quite easily. So what was wrong?

Tara was walking out of the library when Forest Mist ran by her, this time Tara didn't question it. She knew Caleb probably said something to tick Forest Mist off, and it wasn't Tara's place to step in. Tara just shook her head and walked out into the hall. As she randomly walked, she looked everywhere but where she was going and walked straight into Sam.
"I'm sorry," Tara said.
"It's okay," Sam mumbled, he was about to walk away when Tara piped up.
"How have you been?"
Sam turned around, "I've been okay, you?"
"Pretty good, Hagrid is teaching me more about Fire Crabs and Craig is showing me some cool flying techniques."
Sam justed nodded though his eyes darted when she mentioned Craig and then he said, " Umm...I asked Diane out... on a date... for the next Hogsmeade trip."
This shocked Tara. 'He did WHAT?' A odd emotion came through her, but she wasn't sure what to call it. Jealousy? No that couldn't be it.
"Well I hope it goes well, see ya," Tara mumbled and then walked away as fast as her legs could carry her. What was Sam thinking?

Austin awoke, and instantly remembered what happened. He didn't see Sarah anywhere, and was fearing for the worst. "I hope she's alright..." Austin prayed, pretending to be alright, eating his hospital food, constantly worrying about her. "Why do I feel so worried about her, anyway? I know she's my friend, but it's not like we're boyfriend and girlfriend or anything..." he thought. After a bit, Austin decided to take a small nap. OOC: Sorry for the short post, but it's hard to think of stuff to do in the nurse wing.
EDIT: Sorry, Ashleigh, kinda slipped my mind that that was chatspeak...

((I think that she's gonna crush on Sam, but it doesn't mean anything, just for fun.)) She strolled back into the hospital wing, and was kinda sad that Austin was awake. She greeted him, and they talked for a while. Sarah was glad that the nervousness had worn off, and she began flirting with Austin a little. Who knew what would become of this, but she figured something good was the only thing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mary Beth watched the fifth year idly as he talked to another hufflepuff. She sighed, knowing that he probably had a girlfriend or something. Why did she always fall for the guys that were emotionally or physically unavailable?
She decided that she would still make a point of introducing herself, since she felt that if they got closer, he would realize they were meant to be. "Hi, I'm Mary Beth, but you can call me Mary," she said.
She had come. Austin was so relieved when he saw her that he almost screamed, but he kept cool, and they talked for awhile. He noticed that she was flirting with him again, but he allowed her to as he did before. It made him feel good, for a reason he couldn't explain. He knew after visiting hours were over, he liked her. That night he slept more soundly than he ever could remember.
Sam watched Tara walk away, feeling angry yet happy about what he said, though it was a full out lie. He had not asked Diane out at all, he barely even talked to her recently, but as soon as Tara mentioned Craig, Sam felt he had to say something. Maybe see if Tara would react, though to hime she didn't, not like he wanted her to at least. Sam then snapped back to the hallway. Another girl had come up to him and had introduced herself.
"Oh hi, I'm Sam," he replied, though he didn't feel like talking, "nice to meet you. Your what? A first year? You lost or something?"
**************************************
Tara found herself in a lonely hallway. She couldn't even see a ghost around, or hear anyone nearby. She sat down beside a suit of armour. So Sam was going out with that prissy Diane girl, good for him, they deserved each other probably. Tara put her head on her knees, letting her red hair drop down over her face for no one to see. What was this feeling she felt? It was like anger, but somehow different. She wasn't sure, but continued to sit in the hallway, collecting her thoughts.
What Tara had said stuck with Forest Mist the rest of the week. Maybe it wasn't such a horrible thing that Caleb wanted to be with her. Maybe Caleb was right, too. Perhaps she was afraid of being with him and having everything change. She knew she cared about him immensely. He was the only person to ever get her to trust him enough to speak to him, and he had been willing to stay friends with her even though he had wanted much more just to be able to spend time with her. How many people did that? Not many, Forest Mist knew.
Well, finally figuring out how she felt was one thing, but actually mustering up the courage to say how she felt was quite another. Besides, after the way she had reacted after swimming at the lake, he probably never wanted to have anything to do with her again and went for someone outgoing like him... namely Pernitia. The thought made her insides twist and Forest Mist stood up in the Common Room to go upstairs to bed. It was 12:00am and everyone else was asleep. As she went to walk up the spiral staircase leading up the tower, she felt a hand on her shoulder, gently holding her back. She knew who it was immediately and turned around. Caleb was there, looking at her intensley. She must have been so deep in thought she hadn't noticed the portrait hole open.
"I know I'm probably the last person you want to see right now, but-" he began, but he was stopped in mid sentence. Forest Mist had actually done the unthinkable! She had raised herself on tiptoes and pulled Caleb's face down to kiss him! It was probably the bravest thing she had ever done in her life and Forest Mist almost couldn't believe that she had done it afterwards. Of course, Caleb responded quite enthusiastically, practically lifting Forest Mist off her feet.
