As Sarah slept, she had dreams of her parents. She dreamt they were with her, helping her learn potions, teaching her defensive spells, but most of all, just being there. This was the first happy dream that she had about her parents, and she could only hope that was a good thing.
When Sarah awoke the next morning, she went to the library and picked up a book on dream interpretations. Someone had left a note of it on her nightstand. Forest Mist, probably. She then rushed to the Great Hall, grabbed breakfast, and, completely forgetting about Austin, ran up to the girl's dormitory, and read the book. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mary-Beth blushed a little. "No, I just wanted to introduce myself," she giggled. He was so cute. Sam, that's a nice name too. She ran off childishly, too embarrassed to talk anymore. As she ran away, she turned around, and said, "I hope to see you around." She was so busy thinking of the cute boy, she ran into two people kissing. When she looked up, she noticed it was that girl, Forest Mist, and Caleb. Aww, love must really be in the air, she thought. She then rushed to the dormitories, excited to tell Sarah of her crush, and of what she saw.

Austin sat in his hospital bed, wondering where Sarah was. After what he realized the night before, he wanted to see her badly. "She probably doesn't like me the way I like her. What I thought was flirting was probably just her way of showing she wanted to be friends." Austin thought. Austin felt terrible, but hid it so Madam Pomfrey wouldn't keep him here much longer.

After reading the book, Sarah began to sob. She rushed out of the dormitory, running into Mary-Beth as she ran. She didn't stop running until she reached the hospital wing. Something was wrong with her. There had to be. Her parents coudln't be dead. She entered, forgetting Austin was in there. Her face was streaked with tears, and her hands were still clutching that wretched book. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What in the world had just happened? Mary was so confused, but she began running after Sarah as fast as she could. When she saw Sarah run into the hospital wing, her intuition told her not to. Did Sarah think she was crazy, so she went to get help? Or, did she feel she coudln't trust Mary-Beth anymore. Mary-Beth felt awful, if it was her fault, she would never forgive herself. But, she couldn't help wondering, what was that book Sarah had clutched in her arms?

Austin's face lit up as he saw Sarah, but then he realized something was wrong. She was crying her eyes out, and had a book in her hands. He knew not to bother her, and called Madam Pomfrey. She came in and immediately noticed Sarah. "What's wrong?" Madam Pomfrey asked, and Austin was wondering the same thing.

Craig walked over to the fireplace late at night. One of the other boys in his room mention some girl was just sitting downstairs staring at the fire. Craig had been curious and went to check it out. As he walked around the chair he found Tara sitting there. She was looking deeply into the fire, which was odd.
"Tara?" Craig whispered, she turned around in surprise, "Tara what are you doing up so late?"
"I stuck some salamanders into the common room, I've been watching them all night," Tara said blankly and pointed to the little lizards dancing in the flames.
Craig sat down, "Mind if I watch them too?" He figured if he sat around, she might tell him what was wrong.
"Yeah sure, it's a free country," Tara said.
Though Tara would never admit it out loud, she was glad Craig had showed up. She was feeling lonely and needed someone around her. One of the salamanders ran out of the fire, and Tara scooped him up with her bare hand.
"Isn't that thing hot?" Craig asked in surprise.
Tara slightly laughed, "Everyone always thinks that, but it's surprisingly cool. Here. Give me your hand."
Tara reached over and grabbed Craig's hand, and for a moment something, like lightning, went through Tara. She had never felt anything like it ever before, she even blushed but thankfully for her it was too dark to tell. She quickly shook it off and placed the salamander in Craig's hand.
"See? It's cool," Tara said smiling.
"Yeah, it is," Craig smiled back, the firelight framing his handsome features prefectly. The salamander then jumped from Craig's hand and ran back into the fire.
Tara turned away from Craig and watched the salamanders some more. What she didn't notice was that Craig had moved closer to her. Soon Tara fell asleep and slumped over on Craig. Craig didn't mind though, and soon fell asleep himself.

Sarah nodded, then pointed to the open office. When her and Madame Pomfrey got their, Madame Pomfrey muttered something, and said, "There, now no one can hear you."
Sarah told her entire story to Madame Pomfrey, from the day she was left at the steps to now. Madame Pomfrey was a great listener. She tut-tutted in the right places, and nodded when needed. When Sarah finished, Madame Pomfrey hugged her. "My dear child," she said. "There is nothing wrong with you. This silly book is nonsense, and it doesn't mean your parents are dead, as a matter of fact, the dreams you describe make it appear that your parents are very much alive." Sarah nodded, dried her eyes, and thanked Madame Pomfrey. Then, she returned to where Austin was. If only she had a good explanation for her actions.

The fact that Forest Mist Tigerchild and Caleb Darke could now be seen holding hands as they walked down the corridors that next week sent a buzz throughout the Ravenclaws in their year. Who would have guessed? The handsome Quidditch star and the shy bookworm.
Pernitia looked absolutely livid and Forest Mist knew she must be planning something absolutely horrible to get back at her, but since either Caleb or a teacher was always around her, she never had the chance.
"I bet Pernitia is furious." Forest Mist whispered to Caleb one morning as the two of them passed by her glowering face in the Great Hall for breakfast. Caleb shrugged and gave her hand a gentle squeeze.
"So what? Let her stew in her own misery, the shrivelled old bat." Caleb chuckled, making Forest Mist laugh.

Tara woke up the next morning to whispering all around her. She slowly opened her eyes to find herself snuggled up beside Craig infront of a now dead fireplace and about ten people standing around them.
"Cosy down there?" A sixth year laughed.
Tara just gave them a glare. Nothing had happened. Who were they to judge?
"Looks like Craig got lucky with a fourth year, oh my," whispered a third year girl.
Tara stood up in anger, straightening her skirt, "DON'T ANY OF YOU HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO WITH YOUR LIFE?!"
The crowd broke up immediately. Many had enough respect for Tara not to mess with her when she was mad. Tara then looked back at Craig, who was looking around in confusion.
"Did we sleep here all night?" he asked.
"Yup. And now the Common Room is talking," Tara grumbled, " Just because they are a bunch of brainless gits who don't nkow anything."
Craig just looked down at the ground, "I'm sorry lass, if this has upset you in anyway."
Tara gave him a confused look, "Upset me? Nothing you have done has upset me. It's the other people who are going to make this seem like way more then it was."

After awhile, Sarah came back, and seemed much better. This made Austin feel better, but he wanted to know what was going on. "Sarah, what's wrong? You can tell me anything, you know..." Austin softly informed her. Austin didn't want anything terrible to happen to Sarah, so he felt he needed to know if there was something wrong so he could attempt to correct it. Sarah headed toward him, the book still in her arms. OOC: I give christina2010 permission to use my character.

Sarah approached Austin slowly, and without words, hugged him. It felt good to hug Austin, and Sarah then knew something was there. "I promise I'll explain everything later," she whispered. Giving him a kiss on the cheek, Sarah walked out and hugged Mary-Beth.
After explaining everything to Mary, Sarah was on the verge of tears again. She hugged Mary again, and she then told her about Austin. Mary smiled. "I knew it, I knew you liked him," she said, grinning from ear to ear. "Just go for it." After hearing this, Sarah saw Forest Mist holding hands with Caleb. If Forest Mist could go for it, why couldn't she?

She had kissed him. It may have been on the check, but Austin was still ecstatic. He barely even heard her say that she would explain everything later. To make the day even better, Madam Pomfrey even said he could leave tomorrow. Austin wished he could just run out then, but he knew if he did, Madam Pomfrey would just make him stay longer. He held in his excitement, and barely got any sleep that night because he was so excited about finally being able to see Sarah outside of the hospital setting again.

Sarah lay in bed, and she couldn't stop thinking of Austin. She liked him. And not as just friends either. She just couldn't wait to tell him. That night, she was floating on air. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mary was trying to breathe, she couldn't though. Here she was, spying on a guy she barely even knew. Suddenly, he looked her way. He saw her!! Too late to run. Sam approached Mary, and asked, "What are you doing?" "I, uh, I, umm," Mary stammered. She just wanted to shrink into a corner.

"Mr. Darke! Quit daydreaming and pay attention or I will have you write a three page reflection on exactly what you were so avidly dreaming about. It should prove to be a most interesting read if it is important enough to distract you from my lesson." Professor McGonagall said dryly as the class laughed. Caleb went only a little red and cleared his throat.
"Yes, professor." he replied, proceeding to jot down the note on the blackboard about the proper incantations and wand movements for turning a kettle into a tea cozy. In truth, he had been staring at Forest Mist beside him, admiring her but of course, Forest Mist had been too busy neatly writing her note to notice.

Tara went through the tiredly. People were whispering about her and Criag, and it was annoying.
'Big deal, we fell alseep in the Common Room, nothing happened!' she thought to herself. While she was walking and thinking she heard someone yell her name.
Sam came running up to her, "Tara! I need to ask you something!"
Tara turned aroundand stared. "What?!" she snapped.
"I'm hearing a rumour that you and Craig are going out, is that true?" He asked.
Tara couldn't believe it. What was wrong with people that they had nothing better to talk about!
"No we aren't, not that you should care," Tara snapped.
Sam looked slightly hurt by Tara's snapping, but at the same time relieved.
Tara turned and started to walk away, she didn't care for people at the moment. Why was everyone, including Sam caring about what was going on between her and Craig? Not that there was anything... was there? Tara kept thinking, there was that one moment where she felt a spark last night. Was that something? She really needed to talk to someone who would understand, but she couldn't turn to Sam. She would talk to one of her Hufflepuff friends, but quite a few, though good natured and never meaning to hurt anyone, would still probably gossip. Tara continued to walk through the halls pondering.

Austin was released from the hospital ward as soon as he woke up. He immediately ran to the Ravenclaw common room, ignoring many protests from teachers and students, and found Sarah quietly reading a book, possibly doing homework. Austin got extremely nervous, but despite this, he quietly asked "Guess who?" Sarah's eyes grew bright, and Austin wrapped her in a hug. At that moment, he didn't care about anything else. He felt as if he was in his own world, a world where he was always warm and safe.
