Duvessa was happy and relieved to see Tharion alive, and she knew Fiera would be extremely happy as well. She wondered if Fiera would continue hiding her feelings now, especially after mentioning them to Duvessa.
As joy continued to fill the Healing Tree, Duvessa noticed something. Kevin was flying away. He was looking more like a dragon by the minute. He needed to stay here if he wanted any chance of surviving. Not really thinking, Duvessa flew off after him, leaving the happy group behind.
"Kevin! Kevin where are you going?" yelled Duvessa.
Kevin didn't seem to hear her so Duvessa used her faerie magic to have an illusion copy of her appear in front of him. The illusion her said to Kevin, "Where are you flying off to?"

Fiera slowly walked into the Healing Tree, stopping herself from trying to run as she was still weak. A crowd of people had gathered in there, but when they saw Fiera, they all parted silently to let her pass. He was lying in Fiera's bed, his entire body covered in severe burns... his face was almost unrecognizable. Hearing her light footsteps towards him, he weakly turned his head.
"Fiera..." he mumbled quietly. She knelt beside his bed and nodded to show that it really was her. "The dragon... I failed... so sorry..." he breathed. Fiera was shocked! He was lying in this bed burned from head to toe and he was apologizing to her?
"Tharion, do not be a fool. You have no reason to apologize." she told him sternly. She wanted desperately to say more, but she couldn't with this crowd behind her. Turning her head, she glared. "Is it too much to ask for a Commander to have a few moments alone with her injured warrior?" she snapped. Immediately, everyone gathered quickly filed out of the tree without a word, including Granny Oak. Finally alone, Fiera sighed and placed her hand over his.
"I thought you were dead." she whispered. Tharion's blue eyes met hers and he gave a faint smile.
"Is... that why... your eyes... are red... and swollen?" he mumbled. Not feeling the need to deny that fact, Fiera silently nodded and Tharion gave a weak chuckle. "I didn't... think that... you ever... cried." he told her. "Especially not... over me..." His last words broke her heart and she shook her head vigorously, biting her lip to keep the tears at bay.
"Oh hush." she managed to reply before giving in and kissing him lightly on his charred lips. He meant too much to her to let him slip away, she realized that now. Tharion's eyes were filled with warmth when he next spoke.
"It would... have saved us... years if you... had not been... so stubborn... and said something... before." he gasped with difficulty. Smiling, Fiera nodded.
"Probably." she replied simply, her usually cold expression now filled with gentle sweetness. "Rest and get well, Tharion. For my sake as well as yours." she whispered softly before going outside to allow Granny Oak back into the Tree to tend to Tharion.

"Im leaving before more dragons appear," Kevin said, agitated. Then he felt a jolt. "Take cover!!!" Kevin yelled as a reciever dragon zoomed by, knocking Kevin up onto its back.
"Where have you been, master?! I go looking for you where you said to meet and I get attacked by wretched fearies!"
"Ya know, i got something new from here..."
"What is that master?"
"Fly over the fearies and I'll show you..." Kevin said in a sneer tone, the dragon merley chuckled as it flew over the fearies and hovered above them. Kevin took out the panpipes and played them, making the dragon fall asleep, for what Kevin said, "An hour."
The dragon fell as the fearies got out of the way, and Kevin stayed in the air, until he floated down to where Duvessa and the gaurdians stood.
"Well, looks like Ive made some kind of payback. So lets hurry! Get the blood!!"

Duvessa was startled by what Kevin had just done. The dragon laid on the ground, sleeping, easy pickings for it's blood. Duvessa looked around, it was only her and the other Guardians... all faeries. Duvessa knew what would happen if any of them cut into the dragon, especially with it just sleeping there. The last time Duvessa ever attacked a helpless creature, magic or not, it burned a mark into her moonlight pale skin. That was the punishment to any Guardian who attacked the helpless.
"Kevin, we need to get someone else to remove the blood," Duvessa said.
Kevin looked at her with a puzzled expression.
"If any of the Guardians cut open that dragon while it's helpless we will be physically scarred," Duvessa then turned around and lifted up her two long messy unmanaged braids to reveal what looked like a black tattoo on the back of her neck, except it seemed to be engraved in the skin . It looked like an X overlaying an eye shape with a diamond in the middle, "That was burned into my skin by magic a long time ago when I first became a Guardian and didn't know the magical law I was bound by."
Duvessa then looked over at all the Guardians, each of them looked grave, as each had made the same mistake and was branded for their errors as well. The pain of the memories was unbearable.
"Kevin, you need to find a nympth, elf, or human to do this, 'cause even if you do it, you may not be branded but you will feel the pain the dragon feels," Duvessa said, "And I think your time is running out."

Jarlath soon arrived at the Healing Tree, along with Kevin. Fiera's limbs were starting to feel a bit stronger... could it have anything to do with admitting her emotions to Tharion? Jarlath looked rushed and worried.
"What is it?" Fiera asked. "Has something happened to Duvessa?" Jarlath shook his head and answered solemnly.
"Duvessa is fine. We need the help of a non-faerie creature. Kevin has managed to lull the dragon to sleep but the spell will break within the hour. Faeries, especially Guardians cannot take dragon's blood. We need someone else." he informed her. Fiera thought hard. Granny Oak was tending to Tharion, Brona was looking after the army temporarily, the merfolk couldn't leave the lake and pixies were too small. Finally, Fiera looked up.
"I can do it. Lead me to the dragon." she replied confidently. Jarlath raised his eyebrows.
"Commander Fiera, are you quite sure? Are you not still weak and injured?" he asked. Fiera gave a wry smile and slowly shook her head.
"Let's just say in light of a recent event, I feel better than I have in quite some time." she replied vaguely, leaving Jarlath completely puzzled. Reluctantly, he led Fiera to the depths of the forest where a massive sleeping dragon lay, with Duvessa, Pierce and the rest of the Guardians watching over it. They all looked stunned to see Fiera walking so far. Choosing not to explain, Fiera assumed her authoritative posture and command. "How much time is left?" she asked cooly.
From the corner of her eye, she saw Jarlath flutter over to Duvessa and whisper in her ear. With her elf's keen hearing, Fiera picked up "and she told me... 'Let's just say in light of a recent event, I feel better than I have in quite some time.'" The confused faerie then shrugged, at a complete loss, but Duvessa's face broke into a smile. Looking to Fiera curiously as if for confirmation, Fiera grinned slightly and nodded. Both friends knew what the other was silently saying.

"Sorry, still not used to the customs of this place." Kevin said, then Fiera appeard, made some facial gestures to Duvessa, and took out her weapon.
"Fiera, attack it right here." Kevin said, pointing to the exact middle, and top, of the dragons head.
Kevin then flew back upward, to try and sense if more dragons would start comming. Then a voice echoed in his head.
"KEVIN! wHAT IS TAKING SO LONG?! iTS BEEN A WHILE SINCE I SENT THAT RECIVER DRAGON!!"
"Im sight-seeing, if you dont mind."
"I DO MIND!!! GET BACK HERE IN NO LATER THAN 3 HOURS OR ELSE I WILL EAT YOU!"
"Understood, king."

Duvessa stared at Kevin oddly, "Where are you from? The law of pain came from Fae itself, faeries can't kill when the creature they want to kill is helpless... it's a law that all faeries abide no matter where they are... Anyways," Duvessa stared off into the sky, waiting for this nightmare of dragon's to end. Fiera still hadn't striked the dragon. She is probably mustering up the strength, Duvessa thought.
Duvessa flew off into a tree nearby where the rest of the Guardians sat. All were watching and waiting, not sure what would happen once the dragon was cut open and Kevin was covered in it's blood.

Fiera gave a nod to the Guardians and Kevin, pulling out her dagger. Kneeling down by its massive side, completely dwarfing Fiera she took a deep breath and plunged the dagger into the side of the dragon.
Feeling the hot sticky blood ooze over her fingers, Fiera forced herself not to vomit. It wasn't the blood itself that made her queasy. After all, gore was a part of a Commander's job. No... it was the guilty feeling of harming a creature while it was helpless that made Fiera's senses convulse. Although elves were not as sensitive to it as faeries and did not bear any physical scars from it, the morals of faeries and elves were identical in this situation.
She stood up and looked around, her eyes narrowing. he must have looked fearsome covered from head to foot in blood and giving her menacing stare to everyone, dagger in one hand. "Well?" she demanded. "Did anyone think to bring a sack to collect the blood or are we all just going to stand here and watch Kevin roll on the ground like a seaswept merperson?" she asked impatiently.
From behind her, she heard the chuckle of her friend Duvessa. She knew what she must be thinking. Fiera is back.

Duvessa tossed down a large oiled sack that would retain the blood to Fiera. It was good to have Fiera back to her old self. Her and the other faeries then started up a chatter and laughing that was common in faeries, symbolizing all was right for now.
Duvessa then flew down to Fiera's side after she had collected the blood.
"I and the other Guardians are going on patrol. If you need anything, please send a scout to find any of us," Duvessa told the Elf.
Fiera nodded in reply and Duvessa took off into the air with the six other faeries, flying free and watching for anything unusual or dangerous.

Fiera nodded, watching her friend take flight and depart. Slinging the heavy blood filled sack over her shoulder, Fiera glared at Kevin. "Well? Let's get this back to Granny Oak!" she snapped, still searching for someone to blame for Tharion's injuries. Kevin just happened to be there and if it weren't for him breaking the Black Dragon statue, none of this would have happened.
Trudging back to the Healing Tree, Fiera dropped the sack in front of Granny Oak. The old nymph looked shocked at the sudden strength of her previous patient, but Fiera did not elaborate or try to explain that admitting love was the reason for it. She did not quite understand it herself, either. "Will this be enough?" Fiera asked. Granny Oak nodded numbly.
"Why... yes, Commander Fiera, but how-" she exclaimed, giving her a strange stare. Fiera just waved it off with a movement of her hand.
"Nevermind that." she stated. "You must start the ritual immediately." she told her, shoving both her and Kevin out the door of the tree. Tharion coughed weakly behind her.
"You seem... eager... to help him..." he said quietly. Fiera chuckled and gave him the first genuine smile she had showed in decades.
"Well, helping him in part, but mostly I just wanted them to leave." she said, walking over and laying her head on his chest, not quite sure of how one went about being open with their emotions to another. It felt strange, but... good. It was as if the entire world had been lifted off her shoulders and she no longer had to bear her heartache and burdens alone. When she whispered this to him rather haltingly, he sighed and placed an arm around her shoulder.
"You never... did, Fiera... you just... never... realized it..." he whispered back. Fiera closed her eyes and nodded faintly.
"It would seem so." she agreed.

Kevin layed on the table, Granny Oak poured the blood all over his body, nothing happened. Suddenly, Kevin started glowing as he started to levitate...over his dragon body. Kevin resurfaced to stand upright, in his old faerie self, but the dragon was still laying there...then it opened an eye.
"FREEDOM!" it gasped as it flew swiftly out the nearest window, back to the dragons den.
"Freedom..." Kevin said, taking out his broken flute, it had lost its shine, as if it went through the stuggles of 100 years in time.
"I think i can fix that, Kevin." Granny Oak said, reaching out to take it. Kevin quickly repelled her gesture, then sighed.
"Nothing that once was, can be fixed back to its orgional state."
"But you were fixed! So was Fiera, and so will be Thairon!"
"But they still are. This flute lost everything it had. Magic, and music." Kevin said, putting the flute back in his pocket, and walking out back into to the main room of the tree. Fiera jumped as she heard his steps, her expression was...flustered.
For one, Kevin was back to his origonal state, but second, she was just laying her head on Thairon's chest. Kevin didnt look at her, or Thairon, he only looked down to where he was walking, being depressed. Kevin walked out of the tree, then flew away, back to where that black dragon's statue was.
He kept thinking about Duvessa's question, of where he was from. He didnt really know where he was from, or the fact that he had no problem killing helpless creatures. Then he thought of when his village was attacked by humans. "Am I....part human?!" Kevin yelled, then hit a tree because he wasnt paying attention.

Duvessa was flying around on solo patrol around Sunset Village. She was thinking of nothing when she decided to check and make sure everything was calm at the Healing Tree when she heard a person say 'ow.'
Stopping in mid flight she landed on the ground and found Kevin. He was back in his normal state, except for a red mark on his face which he was rubbing. He glared at the tree infront of him.
Holding back faerie laughter, Duvessa asked, "Did you just walk into that tree? Or did it sucker punch you?"

Kevin quickly staggered up, brushed himself off, then looked at Duvessa.
"Shut up!" Kevin shouted. "I was thinking of something and i was caught off gaurd by not paying attention. Now, shouldnt you be patrolling like you told Fiera, or are you loafing around with leisurly activities?" Kevin questioned, still in an angry voice. Kevin then flew back to where he was going, right befor ehe could see Duvessa in her "Angry State"
"She should stop meddling with my affairs..." Kevin said to himself out loud as he darted in between tree's and such. Until he found himself in a large area where there was no trees, but trees surrounded the area, like it was some kind of battle dome. Then, the dragon side of Kevin appeared on the other side of the arena like area.
"So he returns to the death site." It scowled as it started walking closer to Kevin, but Kevin didnt move an inch.
"What do you want, Devin?"
"I came here looking for you, you are the one with the information on how to get back to the den. But, i could always wait here until the 24 hours he gave us is up!" Devin screeched, then started laughing.
Kevin reached for his flute, then remembered it was broken, and he didnt have the time to use the panpipes. Basically, Kevin was defenceless. He needed another weapon, or atleast, proper fighting training.
"Fine..." Kevin said as he drew out a map for Devin. Devin then flew away, laughing his evil head off, knowing he had beaten Kevin, even in wits.

((Yay! Boring admin stuff is out of the way so I can rp now! WOOT for Ashleigh!))
Fiera's eyelids fluttered open. Her head was still resting on Tharion's chest and beneath her she could feel the slow steady breathing that told her Tharion was asleep. She must have dozed off herself because it was dark out now. Slowly lifting her head off of Tharion and sitting up, Tharion stirred and his sea blue eyes revealed themselves.
"It's late..." he mumbled sleepily. Fiera nodded and shushed him gently.
"I know. I'll be back in a moment. Rest now." she whispered, brushing a lock of chin-length ebony hair from his face. Was it just her or did Tharion's injuries seem to be healing much faster when she was near him? Tharion nodded and closed his eyes again with a contented sigh.
Feeling a strong upsurge of affection for him, Fiera smiled sweetly before walking outside of the Healing Tree to take in some fresh air. She did not expect to find Duvessa sitting in a tree (with a clear view through the window of where she and Tharion were). No longer feeling the need to try and deny what she felt from Duvessa, she sighed and leaned against the tree her friend was sitting in. "I love him, Duvessa." she said softly, looking in through the window at Tharion's quickly healing face and body.

Duvessa gave a wicked faerie smile.
"It's about time you admit it, the rest of us have known it for a while," Duvessa said.
Fiera looked shocked and Duvessa laughed. The elf obviously didn't know how obvious it was before hand.
"Don't worry, you did fool some," Duvessa asured her, "But it's a good thing you have finally admitted it, no one can be alone and loveless. It makes for a sad existence."
Duvessa sighed a little and looked up at the moon overhead, while Fiera continued to watch the one she loved.
