"Thanks, Forest Mist. This stuff's great!" Caleb said enthuisiastically as Forest Mist dumped a bunch of pumpkin pasties, treacle tarts and fruits onto the bed. "What's with all the fruit, though?" he asked, biting into an apple.
"You can't just eat sweets. It isn't healthy for you." Forest Mist replied with a shrug. Caleb just chuckled and shook his head, finishing up the apple quickly. It looked like he hadn't eaten a bite of Madam Pomfrey's hospital food and was starving.
"Guess what? Madam Pomfrey said I can get out of here tomorrow. I've stopped having migraines and the lump on my head's gone." he said, offering Forest Mist one of the treacle tarts which she accepted gratefully. She hadn't had time to eat after helping Sarah's cat.
"That's great!" Forest Mist smiled. His migraines had been awful. It was hard for her to see him in so much pain. Caleb seemed to read the look on her face.
"Are you sure you still want to be 'just friends'"? he asked slyly. Forest Mist playfully shoved his arm.
"I'm sure, Caleb!" she told him firmly, but was she? She remembered how she had cried herself to sleep when she had fought with him and how heart felt like it would burst with terror as she watched him fall from his broomstick.

"Sure, just let me finish this stupid History of Magic Homework... done!" Austin exclaimed, putting down his homework. "Now, lets see here..." Austin said, softly. *time passes* "There, you understand now?" Austin asked, with an accomplished look on his face. "If you ever need any help during potions, be my guest and ask, alright?" he whispered into Sarah's ear. Austin was glad that the feeling was temporary and he could talk to her when she actually walked up to him. He wondered if she felt the same way about him as he did about her. "Only time will tell..." Austin though, as he realized what was happening.

After her study session with Austin, Sarah felt satisfied with her accomplishment. She had been dying to talk to him all day. This was a wierd feeling, she had never felt before, she wondered what he was doing when she wasn't around, she thought about him when she was sitting in class, hmm, strange. When she got up to the girl's dormitory, Mary wanted to know everything.
"....and then what did he do? And then what did you say," Mary asked. She wanted to know how it went. Then, Sarah asked if Mary had any idle crushes. "Oh, no, I have just been getting to know people. The people here are nice, but none are worthy of my affection," Mary said sarcastically.
"Ugh, this history of magic homework is soo boring, I can't believe anyone would care. No wonder a ghost teaches it," Sarah said. She couldn't wait for tomorrow, when the would move on in transfiguration. She only hoped she could become an animagus.
Suddenly, Sarah felt a sharp pain run through her spine. She had felt it before, but figured it was just a back pain. But, then she heard screaming in her head. What happened?
"Did you hear that," Sarah asked Mary. "Hear what, Lily, I didn't hear anything," Mary said. She was concerned for her friend. "Nevermind, must be hearing things," Sarah said. But, she couldn't help wondering. Who was screaming?
That night, Sarah held Socks tighter than ever, as she dreamed about the night her parents were kidnapped. That must have been her mother screaming. They had to be alive still. They just had to.

Austin hadn't met anyone except Mary and Sarah, and he was wondering why no one else seemed to really care he was there. "It's not like I'm not used to that." Austin thought, remembering how in the muggle elementary school he was ignore or picked on constantly. "At least here I'm not picked on.." he thought, gratefully. Austin had finished all his homework, even that History of Magic homework, which he had been too busy dozing off to hear. He smirked at his ability to not even need to hear the lecture to get homework right. "Probably shouldn't do that too often, or I may not be as lucky." Austin mumbled, heading into the boys dorm to feed Cinnamon and give her more water. When he walked in, there was so much noise it hurt his ears. "Have you been like this all freaking day?!" Austin asked the bird, even though he knew no reply would come. At the sight of him, Cinnamon got extremely excited and started flapping her wings, for she knew food and water were coming. "There, and please SHUT UP." Austin yelled, giving the bird what she wanted. A happy squawk was his reply. Austin was exhausted by 9:30 and decided to hit the hay.

The next morning, Forest Mist bounded out of bed eagerly, excited to see Caleb out of the Hospital Wing. She quickly dressed in her civies clothes since today was Saturday and pulled her waist-length curly brown hair into a ponytail before bounding down the stairs to the Ravenclaw Common Room. She was wearing a white gypsy skirt with blue floral patterning along the bottom with silver sequins placed randomly all over the garment. She wore a fitted blue peasant top to match with wide elbow-length sleeves and a tie underneath her chest and knotted at the back.
Caleb was already down in the common room, waiting for her. He whistled under his breath when he saw her. How can she make such a strange outfit look so great on her? he wondered to himself. She smiled and walked up to him. "Hey. I've got Quidditch practise at 5:00pm tonight but I'm free the rest of the day." he told Forest Mist, walking with her to breakfast.
"I can finish up my potions essay for Professor Slughorn during your practise, then." Forest Mist replied, knowing that Caleb understood her complete lack of interest in the sport and wouldn't mind.
"Sure. Say, you feel up to swimming after breakfast? Water should be warm." Caleb offered. Forest Mist raised her eyebrows.
"Caleb, it's October." she said, but Caleb just shook his head.
"Yeah, but it's not that cold out today. Come on, and don't tell me you don't own a bathing suit." Caleb said, only pretending to poke her (she would have freaked out if he had actually touched her).
"I do... but I don't like wearing it in front of people..." she mumbled, going a little red. Caleb laughed and rolled his eyes jokingly with a sigh.
"Then wear a baggy t-shirt over it. I'll lend you one of mine if you haven't got one." he persisted. Forest Mist grinned and chuckled.
"You're not going to stop pestering me until I agree, are you?" she asked rhetorically. Caleb shook his head and Forest Mist sighed, seating herself at the Ravenclaw table in the Great Hall with Caleb.
"Alright... but not until 1:00pm. The sun should have warmed the water by then." she told him firmly. Caleb nodded.
"Deal. I'm starving... let's eat." Caleb replied, pulling a large bowl of steaming porridge over to him.

When Sarah awoke, she was frightened that she had dreamed about her parents's kidnapping. She decided the best thing to do, although it was Saturday, was go to Professor Mcgonagall, and see what she knew about their disappearance.
When she got to Professor Mcgonagall's headmistress quarters, she realized that she didn't know the password. Luckily, at that moment, she walked up to Sarah.
"What is it, dear child," Mcgonagall asked. Her tall figure frightened Sarah Lily a little, but she knew Mcgonagall would never harm her, physically anyway.
"It's just, I was wondering if you knew anything about my parents' kidnapping," and with that, Mcgonagall hurried her into the office.
"Now, my sweet child, we can talk in private," Mcgonagall added in a hushed tone. "What is it you want to know?"
"well, umm, i was wondering if you knew who kidnapped them, and just, what they were like as wizard and witch." Sarah was nervous about this conversation, since she rarely mentioned her parents, even to Mary.
"My my, only a few days after school starts, and you ask the question I knew would come up," Mcgonagall said. She laughed stiffly as she said it, making Sarah uneasy.
"I'm afraid no one knows who exactly kidnapped them, it was shortly after Voldemort had ceased to exist, so all his followers were in Azkaban too. I suppose that it could have been someone who hated, I mean err, disliked your parents, but the best thing to do would be to ask a friend of theirs. As a matter of fact, I believe Professor Slughorn was quite fond of your mother, Pheobe, was her name, right?"
Sarah merely nodded, too stunned to speak. Who would hate her parents? In her pocket, she felt for the small locket that she found on the stairs, that was ripped off of her mother's neck. It had her name on it, and sometimes, when Sarah missed her, she held the necklace close and cried. But, for now she would have to miss breakfast. Some things were more important.

Austin woke up and decided to start feeding Cinnamon when he got up. "That way I won't get a major headache when I walk in here..." He thought, clutching his head. After he gave Cinnamon her water and food, Austin decided he would go eat breakfast. He got some juice and waffles, walked over to the Ravenclaw table, and sat down next to Mary. "Uh, hey..." Austin mumbled, not wanting to upset her. "Hey." Mary said, eating some of her breakfast. "So, I guess you and Sarah are good friends since she helped you in Transfiguration. It's really hard, at least for me." Austin said, eating some of his breakfast. "Yeah, we're friends. I can't transfigure anything without her help." Mary said, chuckling a bit. Thankfully she had no food in her mouth. Austin decided to stop the conversation there, because he couldn't think of anything to say. When he got done, he was walking outside to get some fresh air, when he heard a loud noise. "What the bloody hell was that?" Austin wondered, as he ran toward the source of the noise. There he saw Peeves, breaking some vases. "Peeves, don't you make me get the Bloody Baron!" Austin threatened, not mentioning he had no idea where to find him. "Don't! If you promise not to, I'll tell you a little secret." Peeves bargained. "Well, I guess it's a deal." Austin replied, hoping he wasn't being duped. "There's a secret passage beneath the Whomping Willow. It leads to the Shrieking Shack in Hogsmeade." Peeves whispered, then he vanished. Austin pondered about it's validity, but decided he might as well check it out. "I'll bring along Sarah, I bet it'll be really cool, being where the legendary Harry Potter fought the evil Voldemort..." Austin thought, dreaming about the shack, and being there with Sarah. OOC: I decided to make it feel a bit more British with that whole "bloody hell" thing. I also give christina2010 permission to use Austin .

As soon as the clock struck one that day, Caleb dragged Forest Mist from her comfy spot (she actually had a particular spot near the back) in the library and out to the lake.
"You said you'd bring a t-shirt for me." Forest Mist said through chattering teeth in her bathing suit. It wasn't anything extremely revealing, a tankini with swimming shorts that covered her hips and a strap top that only showed a small amount of her midriff. Of course Caleb found her quite attractive, but he wasn't a slimey creep so he threw the extra t-shirt he had brought to her.
"I did. I promised I would." he said with a smile. He pulled off his own shirt and dove into the chilling water in his swimming trunks. Forest Mist tentatively tiptoed to the water's edge and put a toe in the water, quickly withdrawing it.
"It's f-freezing..." she shivered, rubbing her arms. Caleb laughed and splashed her, causing her to yelp and jump backwards.
"Nuh uh... you're swimming whether you like it or not!" Caleb threatened, swimming back to the shore. Figuring she would probably forgive him for touching her this time, he picked her up and literally carried her to the water, flinging her into the lake.
"Caleb! Let me down! Cal- aaahh!" she shrieked as she hit the water with a splash. For a moment, Caleb was worried that she'd be angry with him, but to his relief she reappeared on the surface, laughing.
"Still cold?" he asked, swimming up to her. Forest Mist shook her head.
"Not really." she admitted.
"I think that's the loudest I've ever heard you... ever." he laughed, their faces barely a few inches apart. Suddenly, Caleb was struck by how brilliantly green her eyes were and how her long chocolate brown hair spread all around her in the water. On an extremely wild whim, he actually leaned forward and kissed her lightly, despite his determination to take things as slow as she wanted.
Forest Mist's heart was racing so fast she thought she might pass out right there in the water. Had that really just happened? Had a cute guy who cared about her just really kissed her? It seemed impossible to her, yet her lips were still tingling from it. Biting her bottom lip, she stammered. "Caleb, I... I- have to go finish my report..." she whispered lamely, swimming back to the shore and dashing away as fast as she could. Caleb sighed and smacked his forehead angrily.
"Great Caleb, just fantastic! You scared her away!" he told himself moodily.

Tara was helping tend to the flock of Hippogriffs Hagrid owned. She was feeding them, feeling very happy. For the first time in a while she didn't think of how stupid Sam was acting. Then her stomach rumbled.
"Guess it's my lunchtime now," she whispered to the closest Hippogriff.
The Hippogriff stared at her and then turned away. Tara left the food buckets and went off towards the school. As she was walking a wet blur ran by her. Reconizing Forest Mist, Tara decided to yell after her.
"Hey, where are you rushing off to in a wet hurry?"

After Sarah got to the breakfast, she saw Austin rushing in. He told her about how there was a secret passage to get to the shrieking shack through the womping willow. Of course, since Sarah was very curious, she decided to go with him.
When they got to the womping willow, they tried to find the best way to get inside. Austin, trying to act brave, tried to dive under the branches. Sarah immediately became frightened, but knew what to do. Even though they had just learned wingardium leviosa, she practiced it a lot, so she decided to use it on Austin.
"Wingardium Leviosa," Sarah said confidently, and Austin flew out of the way of a fatal branch thrashing. She set him gently on the ground, and ran to see if he was alright.
((Austin can use Sarah if he would like))

At the sound of the voice she recognized as Tara's, Forest Mist spun around, her eyes wide with fear. Not now, please not now! Forest Mist pleaded in her head. I can't talk to anyone right now... but she knew that Tara would not give up and just let her run away. She didn't seem like that type of person. Taking a deep breath, Forest Mist took a step towards her and mumbled in a barely audible whisper.
"I- I need to change... it's cold." Forest Mist stammered, knowing that her partial lie probably wasn't going to cut it with Tara, but still she wasn't willing to talk about her kiss with Caleb to someone she had only just met a few days ago.
She stood there, shivering hoping that Tara would at least let her change into dry clothes in her dormitory before pestering her again, as she knew she probably would.

Tara stared at the wet sixth year. She was obviously trying to avoid something, and Tara guessed it had to do with that Caleb guy. Forest Mist stood there shivering, she did look cold and would probably be sick if she stayed in wet fabric too long.
"Then go change, but if there is something up you can talk to me," Tara offered her listening skills. She sensed the older girl may need it.

Nodding and bolting up to her dormitory, Forest Mist quickly changed into some dry clothes and went back downstairs to go finish her History of Magic report for Professor Binns... but she knew she wouldn't be able to concentrate with what had just happened buzzing around in her head. What had Tara said to her? That she could go to her if she wanted to talk?
"Why me?" Forest Mist groaned. Someone must be trying to deliberately torture her. The only way she could make sense of her relationship with Caleb was if she talked. Great, just great. Sighing, she put her books back in her bag and went off to find Tara. She found her at the Hufflepuff table, chatting with the captain of their Quidditch team. She cleared her throat awkwardly.
"Uhm... can we... talk?" she said in a barely audible whisper, beginning to wonder why on earth she had thought this would be a good idea.

Oh no!! What would she do now, Austin was unconcious, and she couldn't just leave him there to get Madame Pomfrey. Just then, and idea trudged past her. Caleb scuffed his feet on the ground, moving rather sluggishly past the tree.
"Caleb!! Wait, can you watch Austin? You do remember me, right, I'm the first year Forest Mist met." Sarah pleaded with the fifth year, hoping that he would watch Austin.
"Sure, why not. Nothing better to do," Caleb said, still thinking of the event with Forest Mist.
Sarah ran off in search of Madame Pomfrey. When she rushed up to her, she was panting. "Madame....Pomfrey.....Austin....hurt...at....Womping Willow." Sarah was breathless from sprinting.
Madame Pomfrey walked briskly with Sarah to where Austin was injured. "Thanks for watching him Caleb, now can you help Madame Pomfrey carry Austin," Sarah said. She was grateful for Caleb's help.
When they got to the hospital wing, Sarah walked up to Caleb. "Thanks so much," she said, and gave the young man a kiss on the cheek. Blushing, she turned to Austin, and sat at his bedside, confused by why she felt compelled to act so strange just then.

Tara was talking to Craig when Forest Mist came walking up to ask if she could talk.
"Craig, I'll see you later, " she said as she got up from the table. Craig looked at why Tara was leaving and a puzzled look appeared across his face, "She needs someone to talk to, something wrong with that?"
Craig shook his head and then started talking to some other Hufflepuffs. Tara turned to Forest Mist, "Alright, where shall we talk?"
