What Is This?
Areas
Here's a map of the Valley for you to get a better understanding of where everything is located in the town. Anything that is not circled is either a residential area or not very important, but feel free to ask anyway, if you're curious about something that isn't labeled.
I've provided a bit of an extra description for each circled area, detailing exactly what it is and what sort of things may be found in that area.
Depending on where your character works, they may need to travel to the neighbouring town of Twinbrook to get to and from their job, but all characters will be living in Sunset Valley. The Careers guide will tell you if the workplace of your chosen career is located in Sunset Valley or Twinbrook.

Areas
Private Beach: This beach is private property and is owned by Morgana and Thornton Wolff, who live in the large, modern home situated just above it on the cliff. The public is not allowed access to this area, but maybe if you befriend the couple, they might give you special privileges.
Secluded Beach: This beach is public property and anyone is allowed to visit here. It offers a more quiet place to enjoy the sun and waves than the main beach. Avid fishermen/fisherwomen can often be seen here in quiet solitude, waiting for that big bite.
Main Beach: The main beach is the busiest beach in Sunset Valley. Always crowded and bustling with activity, there is lots to see and do here. Just don't expect to find peace and quiet here.
Town Centre: This is the downtown central core of Sunset Valley. Many businesses, entertainment venues and restaurants can be found here. The town centre is home to City Hall, Divisadero Budget Books, EverFresh Delights Supermarket, Wilsonoff Community Theatre, Doo Peas Corporate Towers, Sharma Day Spa, Little Corsican Bistro, and Hogan's Deep-Fried Diner. Sacred Spleen Memorial Hospital and the Community School for the Gifted are also located in this area, and the Outstanding Citizen's Warehouse is situated along the outskirts on the town centre. Right in the heart of the town centre is a large, beautiful park perfect for days out with the family, picnics and barbecues. The town centre is always alive and bustling with activity, day and night.
Science Facility: The Science Facility sits on a large hill overlooking the valley. This is where hopeful scientists and researchers go looking for their next great discovery. It's rumoured that one can find rare, spectacular seeds, gems and metals here.
Cemetery: Pleasant Rest Graveyard is a quiet place of remembrance and mourning. The deceased residents of Sunset Valley are laid to rest here. The cemetery is a nice quiet place to reflect on the past and lost loved ones, though everyone in Sunset Valley knows to stay away after the sun sets. Tales of frightening spectres and ghastly ghouls prowling the cemetery at night are enough to keep most people far away from the graveyard at night.
Pond (Both): These little ponds are a nice place for fishermen/fisherwomen to come for a relaxing day of fishing. They're also a pretty good place to look if you're a collector of insects and metals.
Sports Stadium: If you're looking for lots of live action and a crowd of screaming fans, look no further than the stadium! The Sunset Valley Llamas are gods in this town and the more loyal of their subjects come here every Wednesday and Sunday afternoon to see them battle it out with other, less-worthy teams.
Military Base: The noble and brave defenders of Sunset Valley and Sim Land at large spend their days here, running through practice drills and super-stealthy maneuvers. Do you have what it takes to be the next great military hero?
Waterfall: The Waterfall is a beautiful, serene place full of the wonders of nature. Outdoorsy people often take hikes up this great cliff just to see the majesty of the rushing water and glittering rocks below. This is also where a lot of marriages are held.
