((Umm... the Guardian's Willow tre can't be walked into. The Guardians live in huts around the tree and when they are meeting they kind of just sit on the branches, and also the Tree isn't freely walked to, like now you can, but most of the time people can't find it because of the magic placed on it(basically found when it is ttuly needed)... i though I posted that somewhere already...mmm maybe not.)) Duvessa was flying through the air when something seemed to call from inside her. She knew the feeling, it was the feeling of another Guardian calling her, probably back at the Tree. She did a U-turn in the air and flew back. Sitting outside around the tree was Fiera, Yali, Tharion, and an elf Duvessa had never seen before, plus the rest of the Guardians.
Duvessa landed on a branch above everyone else. "What's happened now?"
Jarlath explained the situation, "and now we must decide what is best for the child."
Duvessa eyed the new elf who wanted to adopt the young Yali, and then looked at Yali anf Fiera. Yali was glancing between Fiera dn the Guardians almost as a hint. Fiera, as strong as she was seemed to look slightly lost, though maybe only Duvessa could see that.
Duvessa then spoke, " Isn't it an elven belief that to adopt a child like this will curse you? Why is it Feramina you wish to have such a bought of bad luck upon you?"
Fermina replied, " I see a child in pain, I have taken in and cared for many children that have needed it, I fear no curse."
Duvessa nodded, taking what was said in, "And who do you have to vouch for you? We need at least two who know you well to vouch for what you have said."

((I don't think you did, but no matter.))
Fiera's heart was doing a drumroll against her chest. Tharion was sitting beside her, discreetly rubbing her hand comfortingly. Feramina nodded and brought forward Keela. "I believe Keela will be able to account for my credability." she said confidently. Pierce raised his eyebrows.
"That is all very well, however we need one more person to vouch for you and if you cannot procure one, I'm afraid we will be forced to deny this adoption." he said professionally. Feramina smiled.
"Do animals count as credible persons?" she asked pleasantly. Jarlath was the one to interject here.
"Only if there is someone besides the requester who can translate for him or her." Jarlath replied. "I believe both Fiera and Tharion are able to do this as elves can communicate with animals." Nodding, Feramina cleared her throat and let out a sound that Fiera recognized as a squirrel call. Sure enough, a small squirrel came bounding up to the tree after a few moments and sat in front of the guardians.
"Name?" Jarlath asked. Fiera translated and the squirrel revealed himself to be Demitri. Jarlath nodded and continued. "Can you account for Feramina's credability and ability to care for Yali?" he asked. Once again, Fiera translated to the squirrel.
"Oh yes." he replied earnestly. "Feramina is a wonderfully kind woman. She saved my life and any child would be very happy to be cared for by her." Demitri said confidently, making Fiera feel as though she had been punched quite hard in the abdomen. Nodding, Fiera looked up at the Guardians.
"Well?" Pierce asked. Fiera sucked in a breath and closed her eyes for a moment.
"He says that Feramina would be an excellent mother to Yali." she muttered reluctantly, sitting back down and gritting her teeth very ard to keep her expression unreadable. Yali began to cry again and buried her face in the blanket that she had taken from Fiera's home.

((Feramina doesn't have to take her. My other reasoning for Feramina was so that if Keela gets injured, Feramina could take care of her.))
Keela held her breath. Would they let Feramina take care of the young elf named Yali? Feramina broke her thought quite abruptly, "You see, I can heal quite well, but my powers don't go far beyond that. This is why I would be of great help as a care taker, since I would do useless in battle, unlike Keela here, who tries too hard to get her self killed," Feramina said.
The two friends watched in silence as the guardians muttered amongst themselves. Even if Feramina was allowed to adopt the child, would she be able to handle it? After all, most of her job had taken her no farther than a year of taking care of a creature. What were to happen if she became attached to the child, and just like everything else, she would lose it. After all, the only close relation she had left was Keela, and now that she was enlisted in an army, would she lose her too? All the thoughts raced through her head, as she awaited a decision. Too late to back out now, just too late.

Duvessa and the other Guardians whispered amongst themselves for a while. It was a hard dicision for the Faeries. Duvessa glanced at those who waited and saw the tears in the young Yali's eyes, a thought came a cross her mind.
"Shouldn't we let the child decide?" Duvessa asked, "I was about her age when I went off on my own, why can't she choose who to raise her?"
The other's gave a worried look.
"Listen, let us ask who the child wants to be with, and keep a moditor on the situation, if it doens't seem to work out, we shall find another suitable person, but the child should have a say," Duvessa explained.
Some of the other Faeries nodded in agreement. Pierce gave a concerned look.
Duvessa then turned to those waiting and spoke, "Will the child Yali come forward?"
Yali stepped forward quivering, "Yes Guardian?"
"How old are you child?"
"Sixty, Guardian," Yali replied timidly.
Duvessa looked at the other Guardians and once again they nodded.
"Yali, we are envoking the decision to you," Duvessa said.
"You may choose you shall take care of you," Pierce explained.
Everyone turned to the young elf and waited for her reply.

Yali's eyes widened in shock at being able to make her own decision. Without hesitation, the little girl broke into a run and flung her arms around Fiera's hips, unbalancing her for only a moment. Not sure of how to react, Fiera awkwardly patted her on the head, looking utterly bewildered. The Guardians chuckled at the thought of Fiera playing the role of mother. Pierce leaned towards Jarlath, concerned.
"Commander Fiera? You think it... wise to trust her with a small child? I mean, she's... emotionless and brutal. Feramina is obviously much more qualified." he muttered under his breath. Jarlath just hushed him.
"Give her a chance. She may surprise us all." he replied with a wink. Clearing his throat and nodding, he stood upand addressed Fiera.
"Commander Fiera, do you accept this adoption?" he asked. Adoption? That meant that she would become Yali's mother! She began to shake her head and say that a hardened war general would not make a suitable mother to a child and that she would continue to keep Yali only as her temporary caregiver, but she caught Tharion's eye. He nodded encouragingly. He had faith in her. He thought she could do it. Taking a deep breath, she nodded.
"I accept." she said firmly, though extremely uncertain on the inside. Pierce nodded.
"Commander Fiera, we the Guardians of the Mystic Forest officially declare you Yali's mother." he said. Feramina looked a little disappointed but accepted the decision with grace and left with Keela and Demitri. Fiera walked up to Tharion and handed Yali to him.
"Can you watch her for a moment?" she asked. Tharion nodded, knowing that Fiera needed to see Duvessa again. Fiera thanked him and headed over to Duvessa, pulling her away from the other Guardians. "Duvessa, what have I done?" she groaned.

Duvessa laughed, but stopped quickly before Feira did something mean.
"You have given a young girl a chance, you have seen yourself in someone else and wish to give them a better life then what might have laid before them if they went the same way you did, not that it was a bad path, bt just not meant for everyone," Duvessa told her, " You are doing a good thing, and it's not like you will be going about this alone."
Duvessa gave Fiera a pat on the back and then gave her a tiny shove towards Tharion and the child.
"Give her what you never had Fiera, let her have a family," Duvessa whispered.

Fiera tried to protest, but deep down, she knew Duvessa was right. Nodding, she turned and walked towards Tharion, taking Yali from him. She looked up and smiled.
"You're keeping me now, right?" she asked hopefully. Tharion laughed as Fiera nodded.
"It looks like it." she replied. Yali giggled and squirmed out of Fiera's grasp, running ahead of the two older elves. Tharion chuckled and pulled Fiera closer to him as the two of them walked to catch up.
"Now, don't assign her fifty laps around the training field if she has an accident during the night." Tharion warned in a voice of mock concern. Fiera raised her eyebrows with an unimpressed expression.
"You're hysterical." she told him, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

"You know, it's probably best that the girl stay with someone she knows," Feramina said. She was so glad that she wouldn't have to worry about attachment to another small being, although Keela could take care of herself.
"Yeah, but I still think you would make a great mother, after all, everyone you have ever met loves you. But that child, it seems so strange, I can feel the bond between her and Fiera, they belong together. That child will soften Fiera's heart," Keela said. She also was glad that Yali was adopted by Fiera. She was strong, and more than capable.
When they returned to Keela's hut, a small bird was lying on a chair. "I heard this is the place I am to come, if I have news of a small creature in need," the small bird said. She later explained of a small nymph who was looking for people, and could find them nowhere.
When she described the nymph, Keela immediately knew who it was. "Maia!! Take me too her, please," she exclaimed.
The small bird traveled deeper and deeper into the forest, with Keela right at her side. When they got to the nymph, they heard her muttering about a battle, and wondering where the warriors were. Keela thanked the bird, and landed next to the nymph.
"Maia, we met earlier, I'm Keela, remember," she said.

As Fiera slept that night, she was once again awakened by a sharp tug on her night clothes. Blearily opening one large almond shaped eye, she realized that Yali was sitting on her bed, whimpering in fear. Fiera's senses sharpened and she sat up quickly.
"What is it?" she asked a little sharply, out of habit thinking that there was an attack. She was already beginning to form her troops in her mind when Yali's small, quivering voice broke her out of her war tactics.
"I had a bad dream..." she whispered. Fiera breathed a sigh of relief that it was only that and not impending doom upon the Forest.
"They're just dreams, Yali. Go back to sleep." Fiera told her cooly, lying back down and closing her eyes, but more tugging on her night clothes snapped her eyes open again. Fiera raised an eyebrow with an exasperated look and Yali began to cry.
"I can't sleep... I miss my parents." she wept. Sighing, Fiera sat back up and shifted over to the side of the bed to make room for the little girl. "Come here." she told her. Yali crept in beside Fiera and snuggled up close to her, still sniffling.
"Fiera?" Yali asked tentatively. Fiera stifled a yawn and layed down.
"Hmm?" she replied, half-asleep.
"I like you." Yali said simply. Children are strange, Fiera thought to herself as she allowed the small elf to take most of the covers.
"I like you too, Yali. Now go to bed!" she said firmly, her patience a little tested. Yali giggled and soon dozed off right next to Fiera, but Fiera lay awake, thinking. She had tried to spare Yali her own childhood but would Fiera only raise the child to be as cold and unloving as she was?

Duvessa was sitting under the Guardians Willow tree late that night, the basket of eggs in her lap. She stared off at the full moon over head, and in the distance she heard the cries of wolves and their were-kin. She turned her head sharply as she heard a branch snap from her far left. Out of the shadows Jarlath walked, a wild smile across his face.
"Don't you ever sleep?" He teased her.
"Sleep is for the weak," Duvessa joked, followed by a yawn.
"Then the weak you join."
Duvessa gave him an evil glare, " Never call me weak!"
Jarlath chuckled to himself and sat down beside Duvessa. After a few moments in silence he spoke again.
"It was a good thing you did earlier today, letting Yali choose Fiera," he commented.
"It was the right thing to do, I mean, I was only a bit older then Yali when I left home comletely to take care of myself," Duvessa said, "But not all children are capable of taking care of themselves."
Again, they sat in silence. Then Jarlath asked a question Duvessa had not expected.
"Do you ever think about us?"
Duvessa looked startled at Jarlath, " I thought we settled this Jarlath, we are not meant for each other. We determined that over two Faerie years ago!"
"I never said I wanted you back," Jarlath said, sounding a little hurt, " I just ask if you ever think about us."
Duvessa sighed, " I would be lying if I said no, but I refuse to go through that again Jarlath."
Jarlath nodded, "I know, you get way too jealous."
"And you flirt way too much! Which is why we would never work, we would never change. Now thank you for bringing these memories up, but I must get to bed," Duvessa stood up, her head spun from mental pain, and wlaked back to her hut with the basket of eggs. How dare he bring up the past. There relationship. She had loved Jarlath, yes it was true, but she could never really be in love with him, not as long as he looked at other females the same way he did her. She wanted to feel special and as nice a guy he was, he could never make her feel the way she wanted. A tear ran down Duvessa's pale face as she laid on her bed and slowly fell asleep.

Fiera was the talk of the Mystic Forest the next morning. With Yali in tow, Fiera showed up at the training field the next day, ready to do what she did best: fight and command.
"Commander? Pardon my asking but why is there a child following you?" one of the female humans asked in confusion. Before Fiera could respond, Yali laughed and hugged Fiera around the hips once again.
"Fiera's my new mother." she announced. Fiera gave her a stern look. Why must she be so outspoken? she wondered to herself. As an excited murmer ran through her troops, Fiera silenced them all with a deadly frightening glare.
"I adopted her. The child chose me to care for her although her reasoning as to why will forever escape me." she said coldly, shooing Yali to a safe area where she wouldn't be hit by flying weaponry.
Fiera tried her best to train as she always did, but every five minutes, she felt a tug on her breeches from Yali, wanting something or other. First, she was hungry, then she was thirsty, then she was bored, then she needed to use the privy. As the training session neared it's end with not much progress from her troops, Fiera's patience had been stretched to the limit. Since her patience was already extremely limited, this was never a good thing.
"Fiera?" Yali asked, tugging on her breeches for the umpteenth time that morning. Furious, Fiera whirled around.
"Yali! I have had it! I've no time to cater to the mundane wants of an insolent brat!" she yelled, immediately wishing she could take back her words. She hadn't meant to say it like that, but before Fiera had a chance to correct the situation, Yali burst into tears and ran off.
All around her, Fiera could hear the murmers of her troops to each other: "I knew she couldn't manage... What was she thinking... The Guardians will be shipping that child off to someone else by sundown..." Each and every comment stung her like a sharp needle in the heart. Suddenly, she felt Tharion's hand on her shoulder.
"I didn't mean for it to come out that way." Fiera muttered, ashamed of herself. Tharion nodded understandingly.
"I know you didn't. Finish up here and I'll find her." Tharion said quietly. Sucking in a breath and nodding, Fiera turned around and resumed her cold demeanor.
"Well? Are you just going to mill about mindlessly? CLEAN UP THE WEAPONRY!" she barked harshly. Each warrior scrabbled to follow her orders, knowing that she was in a foul mood and afraid of the woman's unforgiving temper.
----------
"Yali?" Tharion called gently through the trees. He had a feeling that Yali would return to her old home and sure enough, she was curled in a ball, weeping behind the small garden. With a sigh, he walked over to the little girl and sat down, putting an arm around her.
"She hates me, doesn't she?" Yali wept. Tharion's heart went out to this poor little girl and he shook his head slowly.
"No she doesn't hate you, Yali. She's afraid, just like you are. She has the weight of the world on her shoulders, you know. That isn't an easy burden to bear." he said gently, wiping away her tears. Yali looked up in wonderment.
"Afraid? Commander Fiera isn't afraid of anything!" she protested. Tharion chuckled a little, feeling himself bond emotionally with the small elf.
"She's a person too, Yali." he told her. Just then, Fiera appeared out of a thicket. She looked out of place and unsure of herself but Tharion beckoned her forward. Sighing, Fiera dropped to her knees beside Yali and looked her in the eye.
"I'm sorry, Yali. I lost my temper and I shouldn't have." she admitted a little haltingly. She wasn't used to apologizing for her actions. "I know I'm not a very good mother, but..." she faltered, but Tharion nodded encouragingly urging her on. "I'd like to try to get this right. That is, if you still want to give me the chance to do that." she added quietly. Yali nodded, still sniffling and flung her arms around Fiera's neck. With a faint smile, she tentatively hugged the youngster back, still a little unsure of how to go about this, but determined to make the situation work.

Maia was sitting in the shadows still watching everyone train. That's when Keela turned up.
"Oh! Keela, It's you, you startled me a little," Maia replied. "Shouldn't you be resting after all your work?"
Maia eyed the small pixie as she took a seat beside Maia. Maia's brunette hair flopped down in front of her face. She was quite sad at not being able to find any more nymphs. She was on her own with no where in particular to stay. When Keela looked at Maia, Maia just smiled.

Autumn made her decision as she drifted off to sleep.
The next day Autumn awoke as the sun began rising and headed straight off to find Commander Fiera to tell her of her decision. She wasn’t going to be late, in fact if she times it right she would get there right on time.
When Autumn arrived at the training area she couldn't see Fiera anywhere. She fluttered around a while but there was still no sign so she decided to continue fluttering about until she saw Fiera.

(you said everyone in the forest meets the forest spirit, 1 way or another, at 1 time or another, right? so im taking this as my time seeing the spirit, if this isnt ok, ill delete it.)
Kevin had many thoughts racing through his mind. Was he finally going crazy? would he eventually lead to the legend of his great power destroying the forest? Kevin clutched his head in pain.
"Let out all your anger and hatred, Kevin. DO IT!(the "do it" part is very loud and highly echoing)"
"NOOOO!!" Kevin yelled out with all his voice, almost the whole forest could hear him. Kevin slammed his fist into a nearby tree, his fist shot right through the oak tree. Kevin quickly pulled out his arm, he needed to let off some steam.
Then Kevin heard a faint, but echoing and beautiful giggle. Kevin turned to see a woman...or something, just walking through the forest. Kevin followed her with his eyes until she looked at him, and then dissapeared out of thin air. Kevin then realized it, all his anger was gone, the calming of her presence soothed his troubled heart and mind.
"Who was she..?"

((Okay, time to get this epic battle of impending doom over with! Cool! Leona, I'm sorry I couldn't think of an rp scene with your character. Is it alright if we just assume Autumn's been training with the rest of the troops?))
As the new moon crept ever closer, the entire Forest was on edge. Everyone knew that danger loomed ahead and every hope rested on Fiera and her ability to command her army successfully. It made Fiera more fiercesome and threatening to all than ever before, which was no easy feat to accomplish seeing as how she was already cold as stone.
However, along with this huge fear weighing on her, there was another. There was a very real possibility that she would die in this next battle. It would be like nothing her army had ever fought before. Death did not frighten Fiera in the least. She considered it a great honour to perish while protecting those she cared about. It was the thought of leaving Yali behind. She had had her world turned upside down so many times already and what would happen to her if Fiera did not return?
That was why this particular morning, she had asked Duvessa to watch Yali for a few minutes in order to give her time to speak with Tharion alone. They were sitting beneath a large oak tree, Tharion leaning against its trunk, with Fiera laying in front of him with her head on his chest and one of his arms loosely wrapped around her waist. Tharion brushed a strand of bright silver hair out of Fiera's long slender face.
"You're troubled." he told her simply. "What is it?" Fiera sighed and admitted something she would never admit to anyone else, not even to Duvessa who was her closest and dearest friend.
"I'm afraid..." she whispered quietly. Tharion kissed the top of her head lightly and sighed, thinking.
"Of course you are. You'd be a fool if you weren't. We all are." he whispered back, the sun beating down upon the forest making them both sleepy. Fiera shook her head.
"Not about the battle, Tharion. About Yali. The dragons are attacking tomorrow and there's a good chance I won't survive." she muttered. Tharion frowned and pulled her closer to him.
"You're afraid of leaving her behind?" he asked, leaving out the fact that he hated it when she spoke of her death. He knew she needed to say this. Fiera sighed and nodded, sitting up straight to look him in the eye.
"Yes. Tharion, if I join the Realm of the Dead tomorrow, I want you to take Yali. Otherwise, she will be left with no one or be forced to live with someone she doesn't know." she pleaded. Tharion looked shocked. He had not expected this at all.
"Fiera..." he began softly. "I would take her, but I fear that if that situation did happen, I would be in no fit emotional state to care for a child." he said, imagining his life without her and already feeling his heart crumble. Fiera shook her head.
"You are stronger than you think, Tharion. Please... after me, you are all she has left." she coaxed, desperately willing him to accept. The look in her eyes was so intense it almost frightened Tharion and he nodded.
"Alright, but I will be praying tonight that I won't have to." he told her with a very intimate kiss before leaving to make sure the weaponry was all in order for the next day.
