What is This?
This is our top-secret diabolical plot to lure the unsuspecting into our lair... herm, I mean, our completely honest and friendly attempt at convincing others to join in our wonderful supportive community of avid roleplayers and conversationalists.
How Does This Work?
Simple! Just stick one of our banners into your signature on other forums or on your personal website or blog to attract attention to RPF and hopefully gain more active members.
What's in it for Me?
Lots of things! Well, okay, two things. 1) More roleplayers to roleplay with, meaning a much more fun roleplaying experience and 2) Your name on the scoreboard in this thread.
Scoreboard, Eh?
Got your interest now, don't I? When you recruit someone to RPF, you'll get your name on a list we call the scoreboard. Beside your name, you'll have the number of people you recruited.
Do I Win Anything for Recruiting the Most People?
Not really, but it can be fun to try to work your way to the top of the scoreboard and stay there. Some friendly competition of sorts.
How do You Know if I Recruited Someone?
We don't unless the person says you did in their introduction post when they join, so make sure they know to mention you when they introduce themselves, otherwise it won't count.
Rules
I. Do not harass people to join RPF. If we hear word that you're bullying people into joining, you will receive a slash for every time you do it.
II. Don't whine about having more recruits than are listed beside your name. If your recruit didn't tell us you recruited them, it doesn't count. Period. Make sure they know to mention you in their introduction post.
III. Don't get overly competitive. If someone has a higher recruitment score than you, don't whine and throw a tantrum over it. Just work harder to beat their score. Being a sore loser will result in slashes.
IV. Likewise, being an obnoxious winner and putting people down because they're losing against you will result in slashes. It's just a friendly competition, guys. No need to hurt people's feelings over it.
Banners and Codes
RPF doesn't have any banners, yet, but we will have some soon. Feel free to make one yourself and send it to an admin for approval. Don't be offended if we reject it. It doesn't mean we don't like you or want to be mean. It just means you need some more practice. Try honing your skills in the Graphics board before trying again.
