This is where the actual Blood-Night Vampire Roleplay will take place. If you have already created your character according to the criteria provided in that thread, then you may get started roleplaying after reading this post.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RULES 1. This roleplay is geared towards members who are thirteen or older. Stronger language, violence and sexual themes are allowed, but please nothing that would be considered OVER PG-13. 2. You must follow all the character rules outlined in the Character Profiles thread. 3. Obviously, no double-posting, flaming, or spam. Spam is any post that does not contribute to the actual roleplay. 4. No one-sentence posts! All posts must be at least a full paragraph long and consist of at least 5-10 sentences MINIMUM. Longer posts are always preferred, however. 5. There is no two-post rule here yet as we do not have very many members but if the roleplay begins to get out of hand, that will change. 6. No chat-speak or emoticons in your posts! Emoticons are only permitted within OOC brackets but chat-speak is strictly prohibited, period! 7. There is a very likely chance that your character will be attacked and injured by another character so please do not take it personally. It's just a roleplay. Killing other characters is not allowed unless agreed upon in the Vampire Roleplay Discussion thread. 8. Have fun!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
VAMPIRE FACTS/MYTHS - Vampires will NOT perish in the sun, however they dislike it immensely and it is painful for them so they much prefer the dark. - Vampires DO need blood to survive. - Vampires CANNOT reproduce due to the fact that they are dead. - Vampires do NOT have to sleep in a coffin, but some may still choose to do so. It's more a matter of personal preference. - Garlic will NOT kill a vampire, but it will stall them as they do not like it. - Driving a wooden stake through a vampire's heart WILL kill them. - Shooting a vampire with a silver bullet will have absolutely NO effect on them, however this WILL kill a lycan. - Vampires are able to recognize other vampires by their scent and they know the difference between a half-breed and a true vampire. They dislike half-breeds, hate lycans and are indifferent towards humans but there are exceptions to this, depending on the individual vampire.
----------
WHAT WILL KILL A VAMPIRE - Prolonged exposure to sunlight (an entire day out in the sun). - Beheading. - Fire. - Driving a wooden stake through his/her heart. - Throwing blessed water (doesn't matter what religion) into their coffin or other sleeping quarter. - Exorcism (again, doesn't matter what religion). - Wearing any kind of religious symbol on a chain around your neck will make a vampire unable to touch you, however it won't harm them.
NOTE: Remember that vampires have superhuman strength and that just getting a vampire into a position to be killed in any of these ways is a near impossibility.
----------
HALF-BREEDS - Half-breeds DO need blood to survive. - Half-breeds are NOT immortal and can die from the same means as a human can. - Half-breeds may display mixed vampiric/human tendancies, depending on the individual person themselves. They may not mind the sun, or they may despise it. They may prefer to sleep in a coffin or a bed. They may enjoy killing or they may hate themselves for it, etc... - Half-breeds CANNOT morph into any animal, however they are able to sense the difference between true vampires and half-breeds just as vampires can. - Generally, half-breeds are disliked immensely by true vampires but there are exceptions to this. Half-breeds themselves have individually varying attitudes towards vampires, lycans and humans. - Half-breeds are able to reproduce but their tainted vampire blood will be passed to the child.
----------
LYCANS - Lycans are much like werewolves from Harry Potter and most other stories. They are humans with human qualities except on the night of the full moon, when they will transform. - Lycans lose all rational thinking when they transform and become a savage beast. They would kill their best friend and not know the difference in this state. - Lycans generally look like very large, demonic wolves when they transform. - Lycans will transform on the night of the full-moon, regardless of whether the light of the moon actually touches them or not. - Lycans can reproduce, but it is very rare and the offspring usually die in the womb. They are able to reproduce with humans and half-breeds, but usually choose not to because generally, lycans despise humans for their weakness and half-breeds for being part vampire. - Lycans despise vampires with a passion, and there are very few exceptions to this. - The only way to kill a lycan is by shooting it with a silver bullet while it is transformed. The rest of the time, they are invincable like vampires. The only time when they are as vulnerable as humans is when they fall ill the day before and the day after their transformations.

UPDATES[/u] [08/17/07]: I've added members to the roleplay who've posted character profiles and I have also added a section specifically outlining ways a vampire can die. If a certain method is not outlined there, chances are it means that method won't kill them.

THE STORY SO FAR... Lycans and vampires have been at war for ten centuries. The feud has gone on so long that neither side knows how the war started or why they are still fighting. This age-old war has instilled a deep hatred between the vampires and the lycans.
One major clan called the Cruor Nox Noctis clan, commonly referred to as either the CNN or the Cruor clan houses 90% of the world's vampires, with clan houses all over the world. These houses are vast mansions large enough to comfortably accomodate up to 500 vampires. The one the vampires in this rp will dwell in is located in Venice, Italy.
The leader of the Cruor Nox Noctis clan is Lady Maria Sante Sophia, a cold harsh vampire with elegance and class. She owns the Cruor headquarters mansion in Venice, Italy. Preceeding her was Monsieur Armand De Lustus who was demoted for taking in a half-breed.
Meanwhile, the lycans are a very disorganized group who dwell sporadically all over the world and whose war tactics involve mindless killing without planning or any kind of thought-process. They usually dwell within small "clans" of ten to fifteen and are constantly killing both each other and anything else who inconveniances them which has caused their numbers to dwindle.
The humans are very aware of the existance of vampires but are too terrified to do anything about it. They are unaware of the existance of lycans and few know that half-breeds exist. They are the hunted and they know it. All they can do is hope that they do not cross paths with a vampire late at night.[/color]

((Okay, I'll start this off since no one else seems to want to.))
"Isabelle?" a male voice rang out into the still night air. Isabelle's yellow eyes darted towards the source of the sound, knowing exactly who the voice belonged to. A man in a long, blood-red cloak and leather boots overtop an expensive black suit and tie grinned as he approached, his shoulder length black hair billowing slightly in the chill wind.
"Armand, I was hunting." Isabelle sighed, leaping down onto the landing below the building rooftop she had been crouching on. Armand gave a dry chuckle and shook his head.
"You hate hunting." he reminded her. Isabelle bared her abnormally small fangs and hissed temperamentally, flipping back a strand of her waist-length, crimson hair.
"That doesn't change the fact that it must be done." she argued. Armand looked at the human Isabelle had been tracking, a young man who had become spooked after sensing danger and ran off. Sighing, Armand shook his head.
"You have so much compassion for the creatures... the humans. They are prey. That's the way the cycle of life... and death, works." he told her, crossing his long, pale arms as the dark clouds illuminated the full moon, bathing the vampire and the half-breed in a mixture of moonlight and eery shadows.
"Armand, they are a part of me. Every time I feed, I'm killing one of my own. I cannot help but feel compassion for them... which is a quality true vampires such as yourself lack." she explained yet another time.
"That is partially true, but vampires can love. I love you." he replied softly. Despite herself, Isabelle smiled. Armand had taken in her in as an infant when no other human or vampire wanted her because of what she was. He had raised her and taken care of her all those years she may have been shunned from the entire world.
"You know I love you as well, Armand. You saved me, although at times I wonder if I was worth saving." she whispered sadly. Armand lifted her chin with the tip of his forefinger and brushed away a single tear that had escaped her delicate eyelid.
"You were always worth all my trouble, Isabelle. Come, we shall hunt together." he told her. Nodding, Isabelle took his hand and together, they fled into the night in search of a new set of victims.

A hiker walked around in a think forest, shouting and yelling, seemingly he is lost. Then, he stopped to look behind him, as he heard a twig snap. He gasped in fear as he though for a second, could it be a vampire? He slowly turned around, to see a fox, with red eyes.
"Oh thank heavens, your not a vampire, are you, buddy?" The hiker said with a happy expression, as the fox go closer to him, then walked past him. "Wanna lead me out of here, bud? Well alright then!" The hiker said as he followed the quick moving fox, until he was even more lost, as he had lost the fox's trail.
"God d**nit! Stupid fox got me even more lost! If i only had my gun and-" the hiker started, then was stopped by another twig snapping. He looked over to where he heard it, to see the red eyes stand out with the moon shining upon it. "Oh, well hello, come back to really get me out of here, fox?"
"Not really." said a voice from under the red eyes, then the vampire jumped out, and fed on his prey. Then, an owl swooped down and fluttered and hovered infront of the vampire, then transformed into another vampire.
"Your skills are very effective, and amusing." The new vampire laughed. "My name is Nerlom, of the Cruor Nox Noctis clan. It would be a wise decision to join the clan. Our main goal is to take down the lycans once and for all, atleast, thats what I aim to do. So what do you say?" Nerlom questioned, smiling.
The fox-vampire turned back into his fox-form and started walking back into the deeper parts of the forest, only to be stopped by the owl-vampire as he jumped infront of him.
"Trust me, you dont want to decline this request. It is very unlikly to get new vampires in the Cruor Nox Noctis clan. But when one is asked to join, it is never questioned or declined. So, dont disrupt the tradition. Join the clan!"
"Im not intrested." Kevin, the fox-vampire said, still in his fox form.
"You insolent brat!" Nerlom shouted, kicking Kevin into a nearby tree. "Only the most powerful, strategic, and clever vampires get into the Cruor Nox Noctis clan!"
Kevin staggered up, out of his fox form. "A clever vampire wouldnt start a fight out of fury." Kevin said, making Nerlom angrier. Nerlom charged at Kevin, changing to his Owl form, and Kevin grabbed his gun from his pocket and shot the owl. Nerlom fluttered away, never to forget what happened there.
"Pitiful... ." Kevin said, changing back to his fox form, and ran back into the deep parts of the forest, looking for more lost travelers.

((If the owl was supposed to be a half-breed, they can't morph into animal forms. Your use of imagery is good, though.))
Lady Maria Sante Sophia paced back and forth in her study anxiously... well, angrily would probably be a more accurate term. "Where the hell is he?" she hissed, her long gleaming white fangs glinting in the candlelight. As she made to go in search of him, a silver wolf slipped in through the polished oak door and sat in front of her. Her rosy lips curved into a twisted smile. "Ah, Armand. You are late!" she snarled.
The handsome middle aged vampire now standing in front of her gave her a cordial bow, his cloak sweeping the floor gracefully. "Please do forgive me, Lady Sophia. I have been hunting with Isabelle and I lost track of the time." he told her in a smooth, elegant voice. Maria raised an eyebrow.
"Ah yes, the half-breed you gave up your clan title for. I will never understand it Armand, nor do I care to." she told him coldly. "You know very well the only reason your precious Isabelle is still alive is because of the... personal favours you provide for me." she said, her eerily silky voice seeming to wrap itself around Armand.
"That is not my only use to you, Maria." he whispered, drawing closer to her to playfuly pierce her neck with his fangs. Maria welcomed it and chuckled.
"True enough." she replied softly. "but for now, the personal favours will do quite well." as the two vampires fell onto the large reading cushion together.

(Edited, lol. i was planning on having Kevin stab him with a stake, and then i thought...nah. lol.)
The next day, the sun shone brightly, and even through the mask of the forest's trees, the sun was like fire through the breaks in the leaves. It was like the forest was the direct route to heaven, with all the beams of light surging through. Kevin detested it.
Kevin walked around the forest in his fox form, being able to dodge the beams of light with his animal reflexes. He was still looking for a place to live. Kevin felt a grumble in his stomach, he was hungry. He missed the taste of real food, he hadnt had any real food for more than a month, only blood. You could say that he was a different kind of vampire. He wasnt filled with blood lust, but he did enjoy blood. Like with most foods, especially candy, you like it for a while, so you eat it alot, then it just dosent suprise you anymore, it becomes bland. Blood is Kevin's candy, now bland.
Kevin decided to leave the forest and walk around on his own throught the city, looking for someone to steal real food from, hoping that they would follow him into the forest, for a...drink.
Kevin did just that, and after an hour, the human finally caught up to him, only to see demise as Kevin jumped out and sucked his blood.
"Yum. Burgers go down great with blood." Kevin said, taking another bite of the burger he stole as bait for the human. Then, some twigs snapped to the right.
It was Nerlom and 2 thugs, both vampires. They were all carrying pistols. "Get him, boys!" Nerlom shouted as they both started shooting, and as Kevin ran away in his fox form.
Hours later the Nerlom gang wound up at an abandoned "torture device factory"(how convienient!) Kevin jumped in from a broken window, accidentally pressing a switch, activating all the millions of buzz saws, axe pendulums, and the guillotine conveyor belts. The goons bursted in, and one goon took a step forward, only to be caught in between 2 axe pendulums swaying freely, his head being destryoed. Nerlom and the remaining goon were left shocked as Kevin pressed more buttons, activating more torture devices, and more pendulums.
Suddenly, Nerlom realised that if he moved anywhere, he would die at some point, trying to reach Kevin, so he decided to Turn Owl form, and so did the goon. they tried flying through everything, and then the goon go shot down, onto a conveyor belt, by Kevin. then the guillotine smashed down, killing off the other goon, however, Nerlom was still alive, barely flying seeing as his wing was still damaged from last night. Then, it was over, Nerloms wing gave out as he was flying over a bat of acid. Nerlom was dead, and Kevin was left in his peice.
"Mabey I will join that clan Nerlom was talking about, to see if there are any ture vampires, and to see if they know anything about...Lycans."

Isabelle sat in her bedroom at the Venice mansion of the Cruor Nox Noctis clan. She was reading a book on philosophy... one of Armand's that he had allowed her to borrow.
Isabelle's bedroom was quite extravagant and beautiful, but then again all of the bedrooms here were. Her crimson covers underneath a large velvet canopy cushioned her comfortably and every piece of furniture in the room was elegantly carved from solid oak and polished with perfection.
Armand's bedroom was joined to Isabelle's and one could get to the other one simply by the large oak doors that seperated them. His bedroom was more a vast library, every wall covered with a shelf of literay volumes, from ancient history and languages to modern day culture. In the very center of the room lay a black velvet-lined coffin where Armand rested during the day. Coffins were considered old-fashioned among vampires these days, but then again, Armand had old-fashioned tastes.
This particular early morning before the sunrise, Armand strode into Isabelle's bedroom, disturbing her reading session. His shoulder length obsidian hair was slightly ruffled and he wore a silk black robe. His long fangs were stained with blood from "playing" with Maria. Isabelle smirked. "One of these days, she's going to turn on you, you do realize that, don't you?" she asked with raised eyebrows. Armand licked the remaining blood off his fangs and bent down to kiss her forehead.
"Lady Sophia and I are quite aware of where the other stands, Isabelle." he replied simply. The sun gently peeked over the horizon, bathing Isabelle's room with pale light. Armand hissed and turned away, the sun being quite painful for him to withstand. As for Isabelle, she didn't mind it but was still nocturnal as Armand had raised her to be. "Good-day Isabelle. Don't let... certain sounds disrupt your slumber." he told her with a faint smile before disappearing back into his own private room. Isabelle sighed and shook her head before readying herself to sleep. She was far used to those sounds to pay it any notice anymore.

As Larcrissa was sitting in her comfy red velvet chair, someone entered the door. "Your late Grabeel. You missed dinner." Larcrissa said staring at him suspiciously. "I have a life Larcrissa. Leave me alone. Nestaph! Dinner! My room now!" Grabeel screamed. "Yes sir. I'll bring it up to your bedroom right away." Nestaph said putting some food onto a plate. "You don't have to follow that spoiled brat. He always goes somewhere at night and comes back really late. Then ha screams at you fr dinner." Larcrissa said giving a deep sigh. "It's fine with me milady. I'd better go before he sreams at me at me again." Nestaph said hurrying up the stairs. Larcrissa stood up and drank some blood Nestaph gave to her. The next day, she was heading out the door. "Where are you going milady?" Nestaph asked politely. "I am going hunting." she said without facing him. "But milady..." "But nothing! All these years, someone has provided blood for me. I not 10 anymore Nestaph. I'm old enough to hunt for my own blood." snapped Larcrissa. "Okay then. But how will you go hunting in broad daylight?" Nestaph asked. "I can always change into my animal form and dodge the rays of the sun. Then, when I find my prey, I will bring him into a dark place and bite him" she explained heading out. "Okay. Be careful milady." Nestaph whispered to himself.

"Isabelle! Wake up." Armand's voice broke through her sleep. Isabelle groaned and pulled her covers up higher over her head. Armand promptly flung the covers off of her with his superhuman strength. "It's ten at night. You have slept in. We must hunt." Indeed, Isabelle's senses were craving blood, but the thought of killing sickened her.
"Leave me be." she grumbled with a yawn and rolling over. Armand merely chuckled and shook his head.
"You know as well as I that starving yourself will only make you more violent and ravenous. Now, dress yourself so we can be off." he told her, striding out of her room and into his own. Isabelle sighed, knowing he was right and got up, dressing in her usual attire, filled with self-loathing.

((Oh crap, I should get my characters started!))
The Disappearence
Fall was approaching closer everyday. The Slayer family had only been traveling for a few months now, going from town to town. Were they ever going to find a new home before winter? Even though it was tempting to both Sara and Seviar because they love the cold, they just didn't want a life like that for them. Living in a castle of some-sort would be quite nice for both of them, but where? Now longer could they live in Acres, Albania, so much had happened there, they had to get away.
"Mother... mother?! We can't live like this forever we have to find a place to settle down at, like now?" Seviar called in his bat-like voice as they were flying in the sky. As he turned to his mother, in her owl form, she looked so much different, so darker and colder then usual.
"Fine... Fine... Seviar we will settle down in the next town or two, for good. I promise you.." She croacked in her owlish tone.
Seviar's hopes rose while he nodded after hearing his mother's reply. They both continued flying through the sky over the colorful bushy hills. The tree's leaves below were begining to lose there color, some already brown, yellow, and orange.
The sun's rays finally fell, Seviar and his mother had began flying at dusk but now could officially fly in piece without fear of being weakened. And tonight felt like it would be very long one, but instead many un-expected things happened.
Two hours has passed while Seviar and Sara flew in silence, but then it happened, something that would change everything for both of them. Seviar began to feel a feeling of un-steadiness, while noticing that his mother was too, "Sara? Sara... You there?" Seviar called. But no answer. "Sara?" Seviar called once more, but in a blink of an eye, she was gone? Where had she gone to?
Had she been weakened so much she had lost so much energy that she could no longer fly? Had she been captured by some un-noticable being? Or did she simply just disappear?

((Kevin's right, but thank you for the compliment Kaiti .))
As Isabelle and Armand drained the last few droplets from that night's set of victims, two young women who appeared to be identical twins, Armand straightened up, licking the remaining blood from his fangs and lips. He motioned for Isabelle to drag her victim to a nearby dumpster and toss her in there. Armand did this with his victim with incredible ease. Isabelle was not as strong as the 5000 year old vampire, but she still posessed strength above average mortals and managed quite nicely as well.
"Feel better?" Armand asked, adjusting his crimson cape more securely around his ghost-white neck. Isabelle scowled.
"Not really." she replied coldly. She felt sickened with herself. It made her resent herself even more to know that she had to do it, whether she wanted to or not. The vampire who had created her had laid a terrible curse upon her as far as she was concerned, and if she were to ever find that vampire again, she would relish the feel of driving the stake through his or her heart.
"Come now, surely you do not truly feel that way, hmm?" Armand asked with raised eyebrows. He had read her thoughts again. An irritating habit which Isabelle was constantly griping at him for. She thought she detected a certain sorrow in his deep blue eyes as he said those words, but dismissed it as a trick of the moonlight.
"Can we go home now?" she asked impatiently, crossing her arms underneath her chest acrss her tight corset. Armand chuckled, seeming to wave off the sadness he indeed had felt a moment ago.
"Certainly. Pointless killing is cruel, I will agree with that at least. Lady Sophia is also expecting us back shortly. There is to be an emergency meeting called for all vampires of the Cruor clan." he informed her. Isabelle smirked.
"I suppose you convinced her to hold this meeting last morning?" she asked wryly. Armand nodded, unperturbed.
"Well, Lady Sophia and I have quite a useful arrangement with each other. It works in both our favours." he shrugged with a wink before morphing into his silver wolf form and bounding off into the blackness.
"Yeah, I bet it does..." Isabelle muttered to herself, quite amused before dashing off after him.

"Why must I do this?" Austin thought, awaking from his soft bed. "Because I have to." he mumbled sleepily, putting on his clothes. He had the urge. "I guess I'd better go find a cow or something..." Austin said, with deep regret. He went out. It was about 10 PM. "Why did I wake up this early?" Austin complained quietly. Then he saw a cow. "Sorry, friend..." he said, sinking his fangs into it's stocky neck. The urge slowly faded, but by the time it was gone, the cow was dead. "Dammit, I didn't know I needed it that badly..." Austin said with deep sorrow, throwing the cow aside. He didn't bother hiding it, the farmer was almost out, and he had gotten used to it. Now that the blood craving is gone, might as well go home and do something. Alone. Again." He said. He was lonely, but he wouldn't admit it. Lycans hated him, humans hated him, and vampires hated him. That left only half breeds, and he didn't even know any.

Kevin exited the forest when it was nighttime. He was happy that Nerlom was dead, but he had no idea what the leader of the clan might do to him for killing one of their members. Using the information he had gathered around from the passing foxes from the other forests, he found that the mansion was located in Venice, Italy. Fortunatley, he was close by, all he needed to do was pass a few farms, and possible a few houses, and he would be there.
Kevin entered the first farm, looking for a cow or something, he needed to stock up on food, incase he gave out during his trip. Then, he smelled something.
"A vampire? No...different..human vampire crossbreed..." Kevin said to himself, looking around, as he then saw the half breed throw a cow, then run off. Kevin followed.
Kevin followed the haflbreed into another house, thankfully it was gonna make him closer to the mansion, then, the halfbreed stopped, then turned to Kevin, looking mad as he bared his fangs.
(Ok,ileave the rest to you, megaman! But Kevin wont speak to you, ok?

Back at the Cruor Headquarters, hundreds of vampires were gathering. Both the five hundred or so vampires that lived there and vampires from all over Italy were crowded into the vast mansion.
"Isabelle, stay beside me. There will most likely be vampires who would not hesitate to kill you, despite anything Lady Sophia may say." Armand warned her gravely.
"I live here!" Isabelle argued angrily, but Armand merely waved a pale hand to quiet her. They passed into the incredibly large auditorium area where none of the other vampires had been allowed entry yet. Of course, Armand was allowed entry anywhere at any time despite his demotion due to his relationship with Maria. Lady Sophia was perched delicately on the magogany stand at the front of the large room in her cat form.
"Ah Lady Sophia. I am on time tonight. This must please you." he joked mildly, bowing gracefully. The cat eyed him coldly for a moment before morphing into the vampire form of Lady Sophia.
"Yes, I suppose that is desirable." she said reluctantly. "I will be allowing the vampires entry in a moment. You'd best stay close to your half-breed. I cannot promise that she will be safe in the presence of so many of us." she warned him in a voice that made it clear that she personally did not care at all whether Isabelle lived or died. Armand inclined his head in a nod.
"I assure you Lady Sophia that Isabelle will be well protected tonight." he replied smoothly, bending down to kiss one of her gloved hands.
"Hmmm... I should hope so. I would hate to see you in a foul mood come morning today." she said with a small smirk before promptly opening the double doors carved from solid oak and polished to a gleaming perfection to allow the waiting vampires to enter.
"Come Isabelle. Let us observe Lady Sophia's speech." Armand said confidently, leading her to a higher up seating area.
